Joining Blockbuster Online was the worst thing I ever did... I waste so much time watching movies now! I saw SO many movies lately...

Hostage - Loved it. Bruce Willis is fucking hot. This movie really disturbed me - violent teenagers disturb me. But I thought it was pretty good... I'm not really into the whole action/suspense/thriller type movies, but I really like this one. It kept me on edge, and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. It's really violent, though, so if you have a weak stomach, I'd pass on this one...

The Pacifier - Vin Diesel in a towel. Fucking hot. Vin Diesel holding a baby. Fucking hotter. Your typical cute Disney movie, I was shocked to see that it was written by Tom Lennon and Ben Garant (from Reno 911! and various other comedy stuff). Their humor tends to be a bit raunchier, so it's weird thinking they wrote a wholesome Disney movie... Nothing special, but worth it if you are a Vin fan.

Sideways - I've been a big fan of Thomas Haden Church's since he played Lowell on Wings. He stole this movie, in my opinion, and I probably wouldn't have liked it as much without him.

Garden State - Overrated. I think Natalie Portman was great in it, but Zach Braff just rubs me the wrong way. I'm not a fan of his.

The Incredibles - Another overrated one. One of my least favorite "kids movies" that I've seen recently.

Closer - Wow...what an incredibly intense, fucked up movie about relationships. I actually liked it a lot, though. I definitely think it's a movie that people will wither love or will hate. No middle ground. I loved it.

Meet The Fockers - Some funny scenes, but definitely not as funny as Meet The Parents.

National Treasure - Loved the story, but couldn't stand Nicholas Cage as the main character. There are only a handful of movies I like him in, and this was not one of them. I think I would have thought it was excellent had someone else had the main role.

Swingers - I had never actually seen this before. I really like Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn, but this movie bored me to tears. Everyone raves about it, but I just couldn't get into it at all.

Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events - Loved it. Pretty dark for a kid's movie, but I thought Jim Carrey was brilliant in it. I hope they make another movie or two based on this series.

All my movie watching lately really cut into my study time for the Series 66 - which I went to take yesterday. I passed - barely. I hardly studied, and just decided to wing it. Thankfully it turned out okay, but I really would have been pissed if I failed and had to wait a month to take it again. I'm just so glad that it's over with and all my licenses are taken care of.

More time for book reading and movie watching now. :)
