It's begun!
I'm still trying to make my brain process everything at this point. But I'm going to try and be coherent. All I can say is that I LOVED all of Sci-fi Friday!
And now... on with my ramblings
Stargate SG-1
Guh! I mean, GUH! Did Ben Browder look hot or what?! *fans self* And I REALLY liked Cameron. I like how he's being introduced, and I like the set up for him so far. He's going to be his own character, and that is so important to me. (see wishlist) I never took to Jonas because he was so much like Daniel. But Cameron isn't Jack at all, and for that, I am ecstatic!
I'm still not entirely sure about General Landry. I don't dislike him, but I'm not really warming up to him either. He's just kinda there to me. I was kinda put off by how he interrupted Daniel in the briefing, but it wasn't disrespectful like I've heard some say. I'm hoping this will change as he really gets into the role of general and we see him in action more.
Vala! I <3 you so much girl, you rock my world! From the moment she stepped through the Gate she had me (and Daniel. *g*) And the Vala/Daniel stuff was so great. Got to love it! I really like Claudia Black too.
Daniel! *hugs* I think you speak even faster with a beard. *g* And poor guy, didn't get to make it to Atlantis yet AGAIN because of Vala. I've heard some people comment that Daniel seemed "bitchy" and "snarky". Well, I didn't see anything except for Daniel and his enthusiasm for going to Atlantis and then to figure out the tablet. Oh, and getting fired up over Vala. :D
I liked the setup with Cameron and Sam. They seem to have some background with one another and that's good. I'm just wondering if there's going to be a clash when she comes back on SG-1. They are both the same rank. But, of course, she gave it up, for whatever reason.
Jack. *cries* He just seemed... down. Lonely. I think he needs Daniel in his life, really I do. ;) No, seriously though, I want to know what's up. Selling his house, car, motorcycle? I do hope we get an answer to this. Are we to assume he's retiring in Minnesota?
Teal'c. Loved the interaction with him and Cameron and got fangirly with him and Daniel. When Daniel asked about the bracelets I was giggling.

But I do want some answers about Jack and what he's doing!
I've been reading some other peoples comments and I've found an interesting viewpoint. Apparently, some say that Cameron calling Daniel by the name "Jackson" is rude and disrespectful. Huh? I don't get this. Isn't that standard military procedure to call people by their last names Look at Carter. Even Teal'c called Jack by "O'Neill" and we all know he had nothing but respect for the man. I guess I don't get this at all. Anyone else feel that way?
I keep retyping everything, lol. So I better stop.
But comments on the other shows....
Stargate Atlantis
Is Ford becoming a Wraith? That is too creepy.
Speaking of creepy... I got a creepy vibe off that hug between Weir and Sheppard. I don't know why. It just didn't play right, I don't think. But it seemed uncomfortable to me. And not in that "oh I really like you, but I can't let you know" way, but more of a "ugh, this is just weird, why are you hugging me, get away" kind of uncomfortable.
NOVAK! I almost literally squeed when I saw her, lol. But I refrained since I was sitting next to Craig. I love her. And their very own little asgard on the ship!
Battlestar Galactica
Of all of them, this was my least fav. Not that I didn't enjoy it, I did. But it just didn't grab me, at least not until the end. The beginning seemed slow to me, and at the same time, too many different places and people going on. I'm strange, I know.
I was glad that Lt Gaeta was able to fix his mistake, but it looks like it will still all backfire on them.
All in all... absolute love! And I can't wait for next week.
I'm working on screencaps if I can get my compy to cooperate. My HD is almost full and I'm having to delete a lot of old vid files to make room and it's bogging down, big time. I'll post the link when I get them up.
