Guess who's trying out her (okay, so it's technically "our"'s for me and Craig) brand new DVR tonight?
It just so happens that there is this Stargate episode on right now called "Reckoning". How convenient. *g*
And it looks like Hurricane Dennis is heading right up this way. Damn, and it's gotten BAD! Not that I want to wish it on anyone else, but can't it PLEASE change course and go somewhere else?
I went back through my boxsets and found some good shots of the goa'uld hand device. I'm not sure I've mentioned it, but I'm planning on trying to make one for the costume contest at the con in Chicago next month. I think I've found a stone, and the sheet metal to bend. Still trying to decide exactly what color the stone is. I was going to get an amber one, but I found another gemstone that's more red. I think that will work best. I have a wire gizmo to make the coils and a sautering iron. Yup, total geek here. Plus I need another stone to go on the backside as the "button".
