The Eyes! The Eyes!
I realized that I have failed on posting an update on my eyes, or anything else in my life these days.
I recovered from the second eye surgery pretty well. Freaked out at the doctors' office though. But I kind of saw that coming. I had a full blown panic attack as soon as I heard the doc's voice down the hall. Eeep.
But I went back yesterday because the reading glass I bought at Wal-Mart were not cutting it anymore. So they made me some prescription ones (at their expense!) with the astigmatism correction in them until I can have the LASIK procedure for the rest of the correction.
Also, the doc fell all over himself apologizing about what happened. So much so that he told me that when I come back for the LASIK it's "on the house"! I just about fell over on that one! He told me, "It's only fair and I want to make this right. You had a really bad experience that never should have happened." Wow! I'm floored! Because that's like $1400!
So the nurse got me fitted with the correct reading glasses and I can type and read the computer screen all neat and clear now! I am still loving being able to watch TV, drive around, work around the house and all the other things without ANY glasses at all.
Hopefully the LASIK will correct most all of the remaining astigmatism. But so far I am thrilled with the results.
Also, I did splurge on some sunglasses :) I got some Bolle glasses with the metallic front and titanium frames. Very cool. Carter says I look like I ought to be in The Matrix, lol.
And tell me LJ, Why do you want to go and mess with my tags? Huh? Seriously? Tell me that a '/' is not that big of a deal when it comes to parsing and scripting. Not cool.
