I do what I can!
Some days, it's all good at work.
For example:
I've been working on a new website for our base. It's actually a SharePoint webportal, which is the way everything seems to be heading towards these days. I've been teaching myself the software, etc so that I can manage our base's website. It's one of many under our region. We (or should I say I) have been on the beta testing for this program for a while now.
Anyway, I've been working to get all of our content from our Intranet site transferred over to the new SharePoint site and working to configure security groups, users, subsites and the general layout of the site. Last week, big Navy CNI, sent out a notice to the base Co's were sent an email saying that all the regional bases were to begin using this site.
Well the CO's secretary called me up to tell me that Capt Gibson was looking around the regional site and noticed that our site (the base) was really the only one out there with any content so far. She told him that I had been working hard on it and he was very happy. He told her to pass that along to me that he was very pleased to see that we were ahead of the game and that I was on top of it.
*grins and feels so happy*
It's so nice to get kudos from the top man!
