WTF was that?!
Seriously. I'm sitting here still trying to comprehend the last hour I just wasted spent watching TV.
I know this so called "new season" is really the second half of Season 5 and it came right at the time of the writer's strike. But what the hell happened? Did they get all new writers?
There was something seriously disjointed about this episode and they skipped 4 months too. 4 freaking months! And suddenly Matt has seen the error of his ways and is shaping up and loving Sean, Christian has breast cancer?!, and Liz is suddenly the one with all her shit together? (Okay, the last one isn't really a slam. Liz has always been the sanest of them, and that's not saying much ;)
I'm only assuming at this point that the time jump and gaps left open are so the writers will actually have a story to backpedal and tell. What about Julia? What about Annie? All those things can get told down the line. But this episode felt so out of sorts and like parts were written and scrapped and rewritten and it doesn't go together. I dunno... strange.
My only real highlight was... OMG! Jamie Ray Newman! I about jumped off the bed when I saw her. *glees*
I'm really nervous about the rest of the season. God I hope it gets better.
