Seriously fracked up.
Been MIA for how long now? I dunno, I lost count. A while back. No shit.
I haven't felt like doing much of anything but work and coming home. And what energy I have managed has been put towards real life stuff. Trying to work in the yard, cleaning house, etc. I've missed being online and chatting with friends. And I've missed fandom.
STILL fighting the sinus crap, but feeling much better I suppose. I have also decided that part of my problem is that I need new glasses in a bad way, and that's contributing to my headaches. I'm kinda scared about it actually. I noticed it about a week and a half ago while working on a computer. I couldn't read the serial numbers off a motherboard in a machine, even with a flashlight shining on it. I had to get a magnifying glass to read it. And it wasn't even that small, not by the usual standards anyway. And I practically had my head in the case. And then today I was fixing another computer and was trying to read the Windows serial key off the side of the compy. I literally pulled the box off the floor and right up to my eyes to be able to read it.
So, I'm going to schedule an appointment next week to get my eyes checked. Really worried though. Never had a problem seeing things up close like that before.

+ BSG: That guy that plays Romo the lawyer? Yeah, he looks a good bit like David Hewlitt, doesn't he? I was thinking that as I watched Friday night. Like wtf? They could be brothers or something. Or maybe it's just the receding hairline.
+ I've been watching Basketball with Craig. Surely it's a sign of the apocalypse *Go Celtics!*
+ My son is a player. And I don't mean this in a positive way. - He strutted onto the field last week for a ballgame and did the pointing at his eyes then back out to you, in the "I'm watching you" or "I've got my eyes on you" thing to a girl that's in his class. I could have died from embarrassment. I think I'm going to be in trouble when he's a teenager.
+ Reason #125 for loving my not so new workplace: *as we get ready to go out to eat Friday before last and it's pouring rain* Scott asks, "Aren't you ready to go yet?" Me: Don't you want to wait, it's pouring rain! Scott: It's just a little water, what are you afraid of? Me: *trying to be innocent* Because I'm so sweet, I might melt! Scott: *chuckles* You mean you might float, because you're a turd. *everyone, including me, cracking up laughing* SEE! This is why I love my workplace. I <3 all of them! Fun times and lots of joking!
+ How big of an idiot do you have to be to download porn on a government computer? I'm trying to gauge this man's IQ. It can't be more than double digits. Seriously! You idiot! NCIS has his machine now. *shakes head*
+ Yes I've seen the New Indiana Jones film, and yes it's good! Temple of Doom is still my fav though, but I really liked this one.
+ HP (Hewlett-Packard) has bought out EDS (Electronic Data Systems) for 13.8 billion dollars. I can't fathom that kind of money. Nor can I fathom the changes this will mean at work. All anyone will say at the moment is, "Maybe we'll get decent printers now!" (FYI: EDS is the contractor for the NMCI network at work).
+ When does SGA start back up again? I'm dying here. Plus I'm anxiously awaiting my pre-order copy of Continuum.
