SGA - "The Kindred, Part 1"
I had been meaning to post my thoughts on the other eppys, so I need to go back and do that. But for now....
After all the mystery surrounding this particular episode(s) and story arc, I'm pleasantly surprised by the first half. Can't say what I will be once the second part airs though. I liked Teyla in this episode and her resolve still being strong to find her people, but I'm afraid she's in for a world of hurt. So, here are my highlights and thoughts:
Rodney's gift! Leave it to Rodney to try to be thoughtful, yet still using his ego at the same time. Gotta love him.
The whole burning of the body 'dream' was creepy. Yeah, creepy.
We sure are learning a lot about Lorne this season. He's from San Fransisco huh?
"It doesn't matter what I think." Gee John, don't express an opinion. I know why he did it. But it's hard to read where he stands on the Teyla issue. Does he really believe her or not? Have and opinion man!
Ronon: Maybe I'll get you something *looking at Rodney* Rodney: "really?" Ronon: "No." Bwah! I loved it. And after wive made me read that fic, *coughs* it just gave it even more subtext. *g*
Todd! I'm really surprised they didn't kick your ass on first sight. And they sure didn't seem that upset about the whole Midway incident.
The whole episode there were hints that were screaming Carson. Like all the research being stolen off of Hoff. Someone having "one of their kind". I kept looking at Craig and saying, "Carson" and grinning. He was getting annoyed with me, I think.
Michael! OMG, I love your evilness. And what have you done to the Athosians? Brainwashed them or inoculated them with that virus? And it was you with the visions. And what do you want with Teyla's baby. (tularia, you see parallels to my fic, don't you hon? I'm kinda getting spooked.)
Lorne's expression when he came back through the gate without Teyla. *hugs Lorne*
CARSON! *flails* I love you! It's about bloody time indeed! And all their expressions at seeing him, priceless. :)
Next week's preview really seems to insinuate that Beckett is a replicator. *frowns* I was going more for the clone theory myself, but I guess we shall see.
*sighs* Is it next Friday YET!
