Call me Grace.....

I survived my weekend, although I'm a bit worse for wear.

It was great fun though. Jack and Carson would have loved all the fishing. *g*

We set off in the gateship Saturday morning for a little spot on the Alabama River, just outside of Camden, AL. Craig's aunt and uncle have a house there, right by the river and a nice dock and boat, too. We fished the day away. I caught some croppie, blue gill brim, and even some catfish. And I sort of caught, as in I was pulling it in and it got away, but not before I got a good look at it, a gar. *shudders* That was one UGLY fish and I'm just as glad he got away with my bait.

Then we went out on the uncle's boat and went tube riding. What fun! It was a three-seater, raft type tube that got hauled along behind the boat. He'd go faster, then slower, then make circles so we'd hit the wake and go bumping about. My sister-in-law, her son, and her new husband went one time and we were all laughing so hard watching them. She got pushed off the raft 3 times by those guys! lol.

And then it happened.... dumb ass me.

Went up to the house to get a beer (my FIRST beer of the day, thank you very much). I stepped out into the garage and stumbled one time, realizing there was a covered step. Go over to the refigerator and grab my beer. I go back in the house and realize we left the crickets outside *fish bait*, so I turn around and go back out to the garage and damn if I don't trip over the same step. Only this time I twisted my ankle and went down for the count! HURT LIKE HELL! But I didn't spill my beer! :) And my brother-in-law informed me "there was no alcohol abuse" *g*

But it hurts like a son of a bitch and has swelled up lovely. Of course this is on the opposite ankle, so now my left knee is bummed and my right ankle is screwed up. Just lovely.

And then we drove to Jackson for my Grandmother's birthday. She just turned 90. It was nice and then we drove back. I'm tired, I'm sore and hurting, but it was worth it for the fun!

So I'm back, and I'm behind on everything, but what's new. Tularia was such a big help the other night, so I should have my next chapter posted tonight. Thanks hon.

*hugs everyone*

Hope everyone else had a good weekend!
