So, I don't think I mentioned my little secret of a Xmas present.
Craig got me the "Arena" DVD from Duran Duran! Yes, I know, it's so '80's, but damn, it's so cool! I forgot how much I loved that video.
Excuse me while I go geek for a moment....
But admit it, those of you who remember it, how cool was it in 1985?! Think how frackin' ahead of it's time it was. And the choreography and imagery was just awesome. I hadn't realized that Russell Mulcahey directed it. I do remember that when "The Wild Boys" video came out, MTV freaked and they had trouble playing it. Because at that time it was considered "obscene" in parts. Of course today, it's tame by comparison. And I also never realized at the time that it was Milo O'Shea that played Dr. Duran in the video from the original Barbarella movie, that was cool too.
Anyway, I've been rockin' out and remembering the old days tonight. I mean, like Oh My God! John Taylor was like.... GOD! lol
Okay, my geeky moment is over.
Now I'm off to download more old Duran Duran music.
