(no subject)
So, I did a fly by post last night. Icons. I was impressed by the fact that I actually did something this weekend that bore results. Aside from my damn layout, which still isn't working correctly YET.
Anyway, in some sort of crazy attempt to be conservative with my disk space on my computer, I decided not to retain the .psd files for the icons. Who needs them right?
*headdesk*
The moron who spells "explanations" as "explainations", that's who. Frack me running! And do you even THINK I can recall how I made it? HELL FUCKING NO! Someone in stargate_icons pointed it out to me. I'm such an idiot.
And while I'm ranting....
I spent almost the entire weekend running errands, cleaning house, and working in the yard. Some holiday. My legs are aching and a headache that won't go away.
After a bit of research I figured out that I have something called "Blue Shore Juniper" in my front flower bed, between 2 crepe myrtle's. And I can't get rid of it! The roots on that shit are unreal. I've been digging and digging, and still haven't gotten it up! And I don't want the stuff there, I want to plant one of my rose bushes in that area.
Anyway, so there is that. Then we have a massive ant problem and some other sort of bugs that I'm not sure what they are. So now I need to call an exterminator.
Still haven't sorted out Carter's playroom yet. And now I'm teaching classes again on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next few weeks.
And as for fandom...
Well, I honestly made the mistake of trying to catch up on some emails from one the groups I'm on. I mean, I cannot believe the lengths that people will go to stroke their own egos. Not to mention taking advantage of a bad situation. (Selling fanfic zines to raise money for "the cause" of saving SG-1? What. The. Fuck!) And then gloating over how wonderful it is that people are contributing? You know, ask me for $5 and I'll help out. But cripes, don't ask me to "buy" your fic and expect me to bow down and kiss your ass because you are "contributing" that money to the "greater good of saving SG-1". Am I the only one who thinks that's totally arrogant?
And this person started the savestargate site and then talked someone else with a similar domain into "combining their efforts" because it was better that way. Okay, maybe. But to do it and say that it was their "right" and that they "Knew how to run a campaign"....
Anyway, I better shut up now before I stick my foot in my mouth. Some of you may know this person and I don't want to start any crap.
I should have left that list a long time ago, but I didn't. Call me a masochist, but we do crazy things for a bit of good fic every now and then.
