So it's the morning after the big announcement here, and... what? Well, I'm still upset. Yes folks, I know it's just a show. And no, I didn't expect it to go on forever.

I don't think I'm so angry about the show being cancelled, as I am the manner in which Sci-Fi chose to do it.

The announcement came in sometime before cast, crew and executives gathered to celebrate the historic airing at a Saturday-evening bash held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the series is shot.

This was from the article here. I don't know anything about Multichannel or how they got this info, but if it's true. Gah. That's just... insulting. It's like having your boyfriend/girlfriend break up with you on your birthday.

I also don't see how the ratings have fallen so much that they deemed it was time to pull it. Atlantis pulls the same ratings, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less. But always on the same keel. I like Atlantis and yes I'll still watch it too. But how can they act like SG-1's ratings are bad in anyway way when they praise that crap of a show "Who Wants To Be A Superhere" (sorry for anyone who likes it, I can't stand it) for garnering a 1.3 when SG-1 has NEVER been that low! WTF?

And yes, I'm one of those who feels like they are pushing big brother out of the way to make room for the fair-haired golden child. Wrong? Maybe. But sometimes we can't help how we feel.

And if internal fandom wars start, I'm packing my bags. I can't take another fandom war. Life is too short, and I am too stressed already.

stargate sg-1, sga
