(no subject)
Damn, where did the weekend go? *blinks*
Well I had great intentions of updating the pron last night, but our power went out. And let me tell you, it started to get HOT! At least it wasn't in the middle of the day, but when it's still a stifling 82 degrees outside at 9:00 PM, it doesn't help matters. Blah. Still haven't heard exactly what happened, but it was a massive blackout. And several people on the other side of the reservoir heard a major explosion around the time. So, I'm sure it was something to do with that. But it impacted more than just one substation, so whatever it was, it was big. We lost power for several hours.
Anyway, I have a growing list of things to do and it's getting bigger by the day. We had a yard sale this weekend and did make about $230. So, that's not bad. It's almost enough to pay for the house inspection we are getting.
Unfortunately, I have decided that I am not going to be able to make it to a con this year. :( I just don't see how it's going to be feasible. What with moving, school starting, and then all of our money tied up in the cost of buying the house. I know Chicago is definitely out of the question, but that Dragon Con was still a possibility. Craig said I should try and go. Seeing as how it would be less expensive. But he wants me to try and go and sell Stargate necklaces. Bwah! That's a good one.
Speaking of the necklace....
I DO have pics to show. Yet another thing to add to my list I took the idea of moving the tiles down and I added about 1" on the length. It's just right now. And I've pretty much got the drop piece finished. My only dilemma now is whether I want to set the gate in a cabochon setting or use a bail. The setting would preserve it better and keep it from breaking better. Anyway, I'm going to post a poll on that soon.
Sci-Fi friday was awesome! I really enjoyed the episodes and I think the season is off to a great start. MS was pure sex on a stick! I was trying not to drown in the drool. I'm really looking forward to next weeks episodes. I am glad I've remained spoiler-free (for the most part *g*). It makes a big difference in viewing.
I saw that MS has a new project coming out! *squees* And it's going to have Cadman (Jaime Ray Newman) co-starring! *double squees*
My LJ is just a fracking mess. I am going to have to change this layout, asap. kazatomic if you are around, I'd like to ask for your lovely help *bats eyelashes*.
