Dude, I have often thought that the best person to marry is an orphan. Seriously. Cripes!

Good grief! Of course, SHE is the one who is jealous, that you have the skills and money to do something like that for her mother. I can understand her behavior (having been in a similar situation once or more), but I can also understand what you were trying to do for her and she shouldn't have taken it to the extreme she did.

If she were any type of prideful and respectful person, I'd agree and probably been a lot more understanding. But she's the kind of person that will bum $20 off you, promise to pay you back, come back tomorrow and bum another $4 for a pack of cigarettes (I shit you not, she's done it), and then you still never see the original $20.

At one time, and I can't recall all the details of it, but she borrowed Craig's car because hers was broken down. The tag came up for renewal, I gave her the money to go get the tag renewed and she never did! We had to do it, and then it took 5 months to get the money back from her that I originally gave her to pay for it in the first place.

So, given all that, I feel like she's shit on me one too many times. Everytime we try to help her, she takes advantage. And then to still offer (like a fool, now that I think about it) and her treat me like that?

I don't know, maybe I am a snob is some way, but I'm pissed one if that's the case :)

Family... if only shooting was legal!

Amen, sistah!

>>I know she doesn't have a lot of money, that's why I offered that she just go in on it.

But that's the problem. Now it's your mil but her mother and all of a sudden you can spend more money than she can? Ohh her poor ego...

I don't understand why you don't let Craig make calls to HIS family ;-p Would be much healthier for you *hugs*

Eh, not really. Not in this case. See what I just replied to the comment above. She's just not that kind of person. She's a bum really. Seems to me like this should have been right up her alley.

'Cuz I'm a fool! I fall for it everytime. I let him talk me into it, like a sucker. I guess he knows that's the kind of crap that would happen so he'd rather not deal with it. Likewise, he knows I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to sit by and let things go. I want to get answers, get things done. So, there ya go. I stirred up my own misery. ;)

But it would indeed be better for my health if I'd learn to quit doing this. :D

*hugs*

Hang in there. They can be quite annoying but you don't have to stoop down to their level. Mine just left the house and it's so much quieter and calmer now. I need to have them over every now and then as the kids do enjoy being together from time to time. But if not for the kids, I would be happy not knowing the in-laws at all.

I just hope I don't become the in-law from hell when my own kids get married.
