An odd day, to be sure. Right when i thought I dhadn't injured myself at work for a while
I get myself in the eye with wire. And by in, I mean I managed to hit myself on the eyelid (cutting it) causing a bruise on the white bit of the eye. So it sounds worse than it is. Although I do have a headache, and I had blurred vision for a while (it looked like I was in a dust storm for a bit) out of that eye. Aside from the cut, I imagine this is what being punched in the eye is like (but spread across a larger area). I wouldn't know, I've never taken one directly in the eye before. Consequently my gym session kept getting interrupted by people commenting on my eye (if it was that sore, would I be there???) so I may have to go again in the morning, headache permitting.
Sooooo, I know one shouldn't write a review based on ten minutes of tv, but The Vampire Diaries? Weak. If there's one thing (there's many actually) thing that pisses me off, it's shows that write females as 'sassy' and males as what I would call 'led'. Although I suspect that the target audience is a 15-35yr old female. Characters shouldn't have to be dumbed down to fit a demographic. Sure, they've probably done their market research, and that's probably what rates at the moment, but that doesn't mean it is good tv. Thank goodness they've put it on in primetime, at least I can go to bed early on a thursday night. While it is a different show to, say, True Blood, at least TB has storylines (other than will they/won't they bla bla teen angst) even if they also resort to soft porn as a filler.
Oh and I forgot to add some thoughtful person re-loaded a youtube clip of me being intoxicated whilst overseas. I'd provide the link, but it'd give away my RL identity. And most of it is a location joke.
