Fantasy Sector - Amestris

The nation of Amestris is a rather large and powerful one, with the prosperity to match. Many of its cities are almost idyllic. Wooden and stone buildings, often in a tall and narrow style, rise along its streets, and people enjoy peaceful if busied lives going about their daily business. The countryside beyond is often verdant and fertile, with rich fields and emerald forests. The peoples' lives are supported by the science of magic: alchemy, which can transmute materials and heal sicknesses. The technology here is also impressive, utilizing the best of steam power and even giving the maimed a new chance at life with the prosthetics known as automail.
However, beneath this idyllic veil is something far more grim. Amestris is a nation made by war; in city streets, one can often find the State Military's men in their dark blue uniforms, many on their way to the wartorn borders of the country. Here, the cities become bombed out and shattered, the fields become pockmarked battlefields, and the forests are burnt to the ground. The technology here is turned against their enemies, with powerful rifles and tanks. Alchemy plays a part, as well, allowing for grisly displays of firepower by the State Alchemists.
The truth may be darker than most could imagine: alchemy, the work that gives people this idyllic life, also makes this reality far more hellish than the average citizen could imagine.

Night in Amestris, the sun sinks low and dips below the horizon, casting everything in a deep blanket of shadows broken only by pools of light cast by the streetlamps on each corner. It's summer and thus rather warm. Many people have left their windows open to take advantage of the slight breeze blowing through. It's a quiet night, peaceful and calm.

That's when the lights appear in the sky, blazing red lights set in a vaguely circular pattern, six of them clustered close together. They are soon joined by another set of six lights in a similar configuration. They lights soar across the night sky, coming to rest directly over Central. All across the city, every communications device, every radio, every phone will find itself interrupted by the following announcement: "PEOPLE OF AMESTRIS!" The voice is electronically distorted and grating "WE ARE THE DALEKS! YOUR WORLD NOW BELONGS TO US! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! YOU WILL BE EX-TER-MIN-ATED!"

As if to prove it's point, the lights blaze, revealing a huge saucer-shaped craft hovering over the city. The second set of lights does much the same. Then, the first opens fire, launching a blast of energy at a local clothing shop, instantly blowing it to smithereens and setting the buildings around it on fire.

Luffy is, once again, lost as ever, and Amestris happens to be the town he winds up in when he enters this new gate. It's night-time here, something he hadn't seen much of lately (because each world is so different), and from a distance, the future Pirate King observes the lights as they approach. "Cool! Fireworks!" He grins, watching closely as they approach. They must be some really interesting fireworks because they.. set fire to buildings?! "What?" He rubs his chin. Something's not right here. He takes up a quicker pace to get to the city.

The sounds of explosions ring out across the city, and Li Syaoran raises his head in their direction as the crowd flows around him.

It was a whim that took him back to this city, where he saw and fought the man with spirits bound to his right arm. It was a whim that made him linger to look through the shops....and now as explosions rock the city, the scion of the Li family is troubled.

This is not his affair. These are not his people, and whatever is attacking them....is not a Clow card, nor anything Li can sense.

But he's still staying.

"Tch," Li grunts, reaching down and pulling a nearby silk scarf from an abandoned stall. A moment of concentration calls his sword to his right hand, the blade solidifying from a column of light. The Chinese - or Xingese, to most around here - boy works the tip of the blade for a few moments, then grounds the sword, lifting the green silk....which now sports a pair of eyeholes.

"...I am just going to look," he says to himself, wrapping the improvised mask over his face, then scooping up his sord. A few jumps take him to the rooftops, and he starts hopping from building to building. "Just a quick peek. That is all I am doing."

"Hurry, Kero-chan, hurry!" Sakura dashes through a gate into the desert city, adjusting a poofy blue hat and two floppy, soft plastic wings that attach to the blue and silver Costume-of-The-Week. Today, Tomoyo went for a genie look, since Amestris Is a Desert and The Desert Has Genies, and that's why any stealth she might have is ruined by the bells on her shoes and her big poofy pants. But not even IPA emergency calls can supercede the will of Tomoyo to have her best friend wear a costume into battle.

As she runs in, followed by little Kero sporting a smart blue bell, she glances around. Big explosions and robots and oy, it's like she heard! "O-okay," she assures herself, "I can do this!" She taps her pink staff in her hands, taking a deep breath. "N-no problem! I have a new card and everything!"

She doesn't see Superhero Li, quite yet.

Elsewhere in Central, within the main government building, dark dealings are afoot. The halls are quiet, all non-essential personnel have been sent home, and all essential personnel are confined to their positions. Nobody is allowed near the Fuhrer's office, as its the one time each month he dedicates for a very special purpose:

Homunculus Poker Night

Three dark shadowy figures and a smaller shadowy figure sit around a folding table. "I'll see your 100, and raise you another 100." "You sure you haven't taken that patch off tonight, Pride? And why did we invite Wrath to join us tonight?" "Because Lust has left us, Envy, and the boy has to start learning sometime." "Mommy, what does it mean when every card has the same symbol?" "... Fold." "Fold." "Fold." "Yay, I get all the chips again!" "Oi, he's learning fast..."

The phone rings, and two figures - statuary Pride and lithe and wild-haired Envy - both get up from their seats. "There she goes again. I told you we should've gotten her a better DVD." "Nah, it's Greed. I've been waiting for him to sue me for torching his bar again." Ringring. The Fuhrer calmly picks up the phone as Envy crouches himself in his seat, lips wet with anticipation.

Instead, muffled screams and explosions from the receiver are heard clear across the room, much to the confusion of all four homunculi. "Calm down," the genial voice of the great leader commands. "What's happen- ... Dawhat? Invasion!? General alert, assemble everyone you can. Hell, get Mustang out of his hospital bed if you have to!" With an angry grunt, Pride slams the receiver back down and bustles towards the door, grabbing his swords along the way. "I knew this day would come. We have invaders from across the Gate. If you had spent more time scouting than sucking up to that girl, Envy-" Ooh, that hit home. The shapeshifter leaps across the floor, lifting himself up on his tiptoes to give Pride a faceful of angry. "She's none of your concern! I did my damn job!" Sloth sighs and slithers across the floor, Wrath tugging along at the back of her dress. Someone has to play the adult, and since Lust isn't here... "We'll argue this out later. Right now, someone's blowing up -our- kingdom, and they need their Fuhrer."

She's right, for the State Military is already loading up into trucks, organizing a makeshift defense from the invaders from above. Standing aside the trucks, the Strongarm Alchemist, Major Alex Louis Armstrong, looks on with confidence as his troops assemble. "Colonel Mustang might be out of commission, but the traditions passed on through generations of the Armstrong family will save Amestris today!" Behind him, Lt. Havoc slaps a hand to his face. "We're doomed, aren't we."

After firing the first blast, the first Saucer whirs slightly, two doors opening in it's sides. From out of those doors streams two columns of odd-looking golden machines just slightly smaller then your average man. Each of them hovers through the air, descending slowly towards the ground. Each of these things looks roughly like a salt-shaker covered in bumps over it's lower section with a sucker-like attachment protruding from the front next to something that vaguely resembles an egg-whisk. Atop the dome that forms each head is a stalk with a glowing blue light attached to the front and behind that are two lamps that blaze with each syllable spoken as the Daleks speak as one. "EX-TER-MIN-ATE!" And anyone hapless enough to have come out to look with begin to be gunned down as beams of bluw light fire from the ends of the egg-whisk looking things. Anyone struck by one of these screams in agony, their skeleton revealed as if in X-ray for a moment, then topple over dead.

The Second Sauver disgorges it's tropps as well, making a total of 40 Daleks attacking the city. Strangely though, Eight other Daleks soar off in the direction of the Amestrin desert, hoping the confusion of battle will mask their movements.
Luffy watches patiently as he continues towards the city as the troops are dislodged from the main saucer and dropped into the city. He can hear the screams, and it only serves to remind him of back home. These guys are the evil pirates, the ones that cause death and destruction for no good reason. He's got to do something! He can't make it to town fast enough, and so he shifts his legs apart, sets his hands on his knees, and concentrates.

Luffy's skin begins to pink, and steam rises off it as he pushes air through his body to increase his blood pressure. This pushes him past his normal limits; way past his normal limits, and Gear Second Luffy seems to disappear from the spot he's at as he closes the gap between himself and the city. But wait! He notices the eight Dalek floating away from the city, and skids to a stop. Straw sandles don't help his traction much in this case, and he lifts a hand towards one of them, a blazingly fast punch launched towards one. "Gomu Gomu nooo.. Jet Pistol!"

Monkey D. Luffy switches armor modes to Gear Second.

And one of those beams burns down a hapless civilian who doesn't quite make it into an alleyway. Li Syaoran gapes and drops into a roll, sliding off the edge of the building and landing on the ground. He reaches over toward the woman, dragging her into the alleyway, grunting as he strains againt the weight, propping her up against the near wall.

"Oy..." he says, slapping her face. "You okay? Hang in....there...."

The droop of the head, the cool feeling....Li bites down on his lower lip, his face tightening as he lays the woman down.

"Damn it...." he mutters, gritting his teeth. No choice - no real choice now - he's going to have to stop them. Li produces a large tarot-like card and hurls it into the air, swinging his sword point down toward it.

"/DASH!/"

A green blur comes tearing out of the alley, rushing doward the direction that laser beam fired from, hoping his magically-enhanced speed will keep him zap-free.

Li Syaoran switches armor modes to The Dash.

In due time, the streets are barricaded and defenses are erected. Anxious rifle-armed soldiers peer out over toppled fruitcars and streetcars, awaiting the first sight of the alien invader. Major Armstrong, however, has yet to shed his uniform, so all remains calm.

There's a rousing cheer as another truck pulls up, the Fuhrer King - decked out in his tight black t-shirt and katana collection - saluting the troops from the back. Aside him stands his faithful aide, Colonel Juliette Douglas, and with her - the Iron Blood Alchemist, Basque Grand. There's also a small lump underneath a tarp in the back, which hopefully nobody will notice. Bradley is the first off the truck, quickly marching past the cheering troops to the Strongarm Alchemist on the scene. "Major Armstrong, what's the situation?" "Aliens, sir. They're making their way down the street, gunning down soldiers and civilians alike." "Barbaric. Do we know what we're up against?" "Negative. We have yet to receive a response from the IPA as of yet." It's then that Grand joins the group, much to Armstrong's amazement. "Typical bureaucracy. Of no help in a crisis-" "General! I thought you were-" "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated, Major. It'll take more than some rogue Ishbalan to defeat the Iron Blood Alchemist!"

Chat time ends, as a shout comes from the defenses: "They're coming!" All eyes turn down the street, and soldiers re-scramble to level their rifles as the first of the Daleks roll into view. Bradley, a safe distance behind the front line, steps back up into the truck to take a view down the street with his binoculars. "... We're fighting pepperpots." "Deadly pepperpots, sir," Armstrong corrects. "They have... death rays." "Death what?"

To the non-casual observer, Col Douglas, Gen Grand, and the lump in the tarp have all seem to have disappeared. Obviously commanding from a very safe and secure spot in the rear, no doubt.

Oh, now what. Just when everything starts to look nice and quiet, something else erupts. Here, Alphonse Elric finds himself in the middle of whatever action is going on right now, giving a small sigh. He's feeling tense as he glances about the area. Just how did this happen...? Apparently, he let his guard down, which is a big no-no from his teacher, which would also get him killed if he kept doing that. With another sigh, he spots the Fuhrer and the military, seeing that this was bigger than he thought it was.

"Fuhrer! What's happening?" His shouts may be somewhat heard, but his armor should be noticeable as he jogs near.

"EEK!" Sakura stumbles as she nearly takes a laser beam zap right then and there, dodging only thanks to a quick jump and a dash away, towards the city. "This is awful! I gotta...I gotta reach them in time!" Here, of course, is where The Shield would have come in handy. But she doesn't have The Shield.

Best go for something at least half as helpful, then. The Card Captor pulls out a Clow Card decorated with a bird, and activates it with a swirl of magic that might seem vaguely similar to alchemy, as two wings sprout from her staff. "FLY!" Using the broom-length staff to glide through the air, she dodges Dalek-blasts midair and swoops down, when she notices...a familiar sight.

A familiar sight moving at 88 MPH, but still, that looks like him! The green is unmistakeable. "Li!?"

The Dalek getting punched by Luffy has some kind of electrically charges force field, which doesn't help it against the rubberman. It takes the blow, getting knocked back into two of it's fellows.

"AM UNDER ATTACK! AM UNDER ATTACK!"

The two Daleks the first got knocked into swing their eyestalks towards Luffy. "EX-TER-MIN-ATE!" The call in unison, their midsection swivelling to aim and fire directly at him with their energy-beam death rays.

Another Dalek spots the movement of Li Syaoran and tries to get a lock on him.

"TARGET MOVEMENT INCREASING BEYOND THIS UNIT'S ABILITY TO FOLLOW! ASSISTANCE REQUIRED!" It fires randomly though, perhaps hoping that a few shots might either hit Li or discourage him from getting closer.

Oddly, the 'pepperpots' seem immune to regular arms fire, the bullets just vanishing before they can touch the shiny metal skins of the marauding aliens. This does not stop them from firing back though, blue energy beams cutting through the night, dozens of shots fired at the Central Military and it's troops. Only the blast from a cannon seems to do much damage, exploding one of the Daleks into a twisted heap of slag after direct hit.

The Daleks do not notice Sakura for the moment, as she is flying in the air. It's hard to fly too high though, with the two flying saucers pretty much covering the city with their bulk.

"DALEK UNITS UNDER HEAVY FIRE FROM NATIVE FORCES! WE HAVE LOST ONE DALEK UNIT."

"IT IS OF NO CONSEQUENCE. CONTINUE THE ATTACK! ALL RESISTANCE WILL BE EX-TER-MIN-ATED! EVEN IF IT COSTS US EVERY DALEK WE CANNOT FAIL HERE! THE OBJECTIVE IS TOO IMPORTANT!"

"I OBEY!"

Luffy remembers that feeling. That familiar tingling sensation when coming into contact with something electrical, or being hit by electricity. He shakes his head slowly. "Too slow!" He disappears, the death rays only managing to hit bare ground. Now that he knows the Dalek aren't completely helpless to his powerful, blazingly fast assaults, he moves onto the offense. "Rifle!" He reappears beside one of the Dalek, and releases another punch, before disappearing again, the rubberman moving blazingly fast. "Rifle!" Another Dalek takes a powerful stretchy impact. He's not sure of the damage he's doing: he can't tell in the darkness, with the only light coming from the flames rising from the city.

Li Syaoran either doesn't hear Sakura over the sound of wind rustling past his ears or is ignoring her entirely - either one is likely, really.

The additional shots do bring Li up short a bit, as he backpedals away from one that sizzles pas the front of his shirt, but rockets foward as the Dalek trains more fire on him, flickering from car to car and then up to a lamppost, the magic fading as he draws a long slip of paper.

"Si byolian gouzaizi!" Li shouts in Mandarin, releasing the ofudea and driving his sword forward. "Suiryuu....SHOURAI!"

Water pours toward the Dalek, torrents of it flooding the immediate area as Li crouches and jumps away from the post....though he's moving at more reasonable rates now.

Li Syaoran switches armor modes to Standard.

Over the sounds of rifle fire, ray blasts, explosions, and screams of agony, the Fuhrer quietly nods his head and repeats, "Death rays." Sgt. Fuery makes his cameo, racing back to the command truck with beads of sweat pouring down his face. "They're nearly unstoppable, sir! We're taking heavy losses, and barely making a dent in them!" As normal, the Fuhrer's stone-faced look doesn't flinch. "Alphonse Elric? If the Fullmetal Alchemist is here, we could use his services right now. I've heard you're not bad with alchemy yourself, feel free to assist the major-"

SPARKLE SPARKLE "BEHOLD THE BEAUTY AND PERFECTION OF THIS SUPERBLY TRAINED BODY! THE ALCHEMY TECHNIQUES PASSED DOWN THROUGH GENERATIONS OF THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY WILL SAVE AMESTRIS TONIGHT!"

"- the major at the front lines."

Further along down the street, at the rear of the Dalek procession, more interlopers leap in from the night. Wrath is the first to land, pouncing atop of a Dalek, and getting the nastiest shock of his short life. The force of the blow sends him flying through a storefront window, where he lands with a muted whine of "I wanted to see what was in the robot..."

Sloth is next, already in her water form as she descends upon a second Dalek. Any electrical shock is absorbed by her water form, much to her amusement. "I hope your armor is waterproof," she notes dryly, trying to find some way of oozing her liquid self into the armor casing.

Last but not least is Envy, who swoops in on a lightpost to survey Sloth and Wrath's success before making his own move. "So these are the Daleks," he smirks with a derisive snort. "And here the last report I read said you were down to one last soldier. I see I can trust the Syndicate bureaucracy just as well as the IPA's."

Sakura has one main disadvantage in the air. She can't use other cards in the air! So it isn't long before she lands on a rooftop, scanning the area and waving at...well, the stretchy person in the straw hat! "Hey! Excuse me! I'm Sakura, with...AAAH!" Another shot nearly strikes her, and she stumbles around on the roof before catching her footing again. "With the Interplanar...the IPA! A-and I think my friend is here, too! We're here to help! At least, I am!" Who knows what Li is doing here. "H-hold on!"

Robots. Robots that use electricity! And that probably run on electricity. What would be the ideal thing to use against that? Well, the magical girl has one idea to try, and she can only hope it works. Pulling out a card depicting an angry nymph, she strikes it with her reverted staff, as a circle of magic swirls around her and conjures forth a massive torrent of blue water that propels itself towards several airborne Daleks. "WATERY!"

This looks a great deal like some bastardized alchemy.

"Oh! He's - ah - I-I can't find him right now! He's busy!" Recovering? Wandering? Who knows. The suit of armor figets, but then gets back into the game. And, after being interrupted by Major Armstrong, he quickly nods so that he won't be completely useless. "R-Right!"

With a clap of his hands, he slams them down onto the ground, letting the blue sparks fly. This starts to create many blockades, either hitting or protecting others. These mainly stay as some kind of protection against the Daleks, along with being good footholds for anyone jumping around. Alphonse glances back, seeing Sloth for a few seconds, but snapping back to focus on the action going on. What...?

Oh, there's going to be a lot of explaining to do later.

The First Dalek Luffy punches just happened to be the first one he hit, it goes spinning off into the night, launched right into the air and landing who knows where. The second is one of it's fellows and the punch manages to knock it right in the eyestalk, breaking off that piece.

"MY VISION IS IMPAIRED I CANNOT SEE! MY VISION IS IMPAIRED I CANNOT SEE!"

The other Daleks ignore their wounded fellow, pushing forward toward the gathered forces of Amestris. When Li suddenly releases a torrent of water at the one below him, it catches several of the marauding aliens off guard, sweeping over the first and actually shorting out several of it's vital systems, making it cry out and then go dark. The others react almost in time and levitate up and over the stream of water, only getting slightly damp and shorting out their force fields for the moment.

"ENEMY POSSESSES ABILITY TO SUMMON AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS! ALL DALEK UNITS ELEVATE!"

The Dalek horde chants, "EL-E-VATE!" And they all begin to hover, trying to protect their delicate shield generators as they avoid the rest of the water.

That's 3 down, 37 to go and 4 without shielding. They locate Alphone Elric running up to someone and shouting Fuhrer. "THE ENEMY COMMANDER IS ON THE BATTLEFIELD! SEEK! LOCATE! EX-TER-MIN-ATE!"

The advancing (and not levitating) Daleks continue to focus their fire on the Amestrin troops, taking down a few but missing most of the key personell. Strangely, their saucers just hang there though they obviously have the firepower to destroy this town if they wanted to. Why do they not attack with their most powerful weapons?

Everyone seems to be attacking with Water. Sloth will find that the Dalek casing is actually very well sealed (they can survive in space after all) but without it's shield, there is a way in, through the grating around the top section and inside is a maze of wires and controls, sitting at the center of which is... a mutilated and disembodied brain jammed full of circuits and wired right into the Dalek case itself.

Then comes Sakura and her attack, which puts five more Daleks down to no shields. "SHIELDS FAILING! WE ARE VULNERABLE TO CONVENTIONAL ATTACK!"

"THAT IS IRRELEVANT CONTINUE THE ATTACK! THESE TROOPS ARE EX-PEN-DA-BLE! WHAT IS THE PROGRESS OF THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE?"

"INFILTRATION UNITS HAVE LOCATED SIGHT OF THE TEMPORAL ANOMOLY IN THE DESERT. SECURING LOCATION."

"EXCELLENT!"

And as the two 'comman' units speak to each other from their respective saucers, Alphonse creates a nice barrier between the military and the alien marauders.

Li Syaoran cackles as he skips along toward the rooftops, discarding the depleted ofuda as his conjured water begins to fade. "And there's more where THAT came from!" he shouts, drawing a new slip of paper from his sleeve as he leaps toward them, landing beside Sakura.

"That's right, use Watery!" he says eagerly. "I can summon thunder an..."

Li blinks, then turns toward Sakura.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" he scremas, backpedalling and flushing slightly. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"

Luffy hears someone speaking, difficult to do when replicating soru, and moving so quickly. He disappears before an attack and reappears next to Sakura, where the steam continues to rise. "Be careful." He advises her simply, and disappears again, reappearing not far away from Alphonse and the others. He throws his arms behind him. "Gomu Gomu noooo.." He disappears back in the direction from which he came, aiming for his original group of Dalek. "Jet Bazooka!" Aiming to have each open palm slam with immense force into the Dalek that don't have shields anymore, compliments of Sakura, figuring most of the force of his original Jet attacks probably weren't doing the full damage.

You know what sucks about being in the hospital? Sometimes it takes alot of time to get /out/ of the hospital, even when there is a national emergency being declared. This is over could because Col. Roy Mustang shouldn't even be out of bed, yet alone out of the building. However, the tall Flame Alchemist sits quietly in the back of a speeding car, and 2nd Lt Havoc drives like a madman though the streets of the city.

"Where is the main battle happening?" His voice is calm and controled, even though he is fairly swathed with bandages. Havoc in the front seat grunts as he spins around debris and wrecked cars. Mustang's eyes widen slightly as he comes into sight of the 'battle'. "...return at once and get reinforcements from Eastern." He says quietly as Havoc spins the car to a stop, opening the door and calmly stepping out.

Dressed in his uniform pants, a hospital white shirt, and his greatcoat over that, one single man may not make that much of a threat on screen. However, they fail to take one thing into accound. Roy Musting...is frowning.

:((((((

This means doom is upon thee. Also, eletric shields in the air? That means...sparks right? The frown turns into a smirk as he calmly begins to walk towards the Furher's command poast, one hand rising slightly into the air. The closest Deleks to the Furher may find it now rather difficult to continue on when their own shields become slowly expanding balls of fire.

"Pardon me for being late, it was a long drive from Eastern."

"Huh? I'm okay!" Sakura has Watery back in her hand, and shuffles for Windy, wishing she'd taken Kero's advice and sorted them alphabetically. "Of course I'm here, Li! I just said before, I'm here to help on behalf of the IPA! I-It's one of my duties! Don't panic! It's just scary killer space robots!"

She thinks that's why Li is scared.

"Okay, then, if that's the plan, I'll use Windy! Stand back, okay, Mr. Straw Hat, um, soldiers? This might get a bit dusty!" She is in a desert, after all. Taking a step back, the girl strikes the card with her staff, as a circle lights up beneath her and a gust of wind swirls around her before streaming outward and all around, shaped into a face and wings. "WINDY!"

Sloth can't see with her watery tendrils, but she can certainly feel with them. And what she's feeling right now has her water turning a little greener than usual. "Ewwww. There's meat in the can. Spoiled rotten too." Envy shouts from above, "Maybe you should clean it out," which elicits him one Glare of Death. "Easy for you to say," the liquid homunculus grumbles, oozing even further into the casing to see if she drown the beastie inside. Or inadvertently short out its electronics.

And once again unto the breach comes Wrath, who staggers out of the store coughing and smoldering. Envy directs him to one of the hovering and whining Daleks. "The shields are down! It won't shock you this time!"

Wrath bares his teeth. This means doom is also upon thee. "Let's find out what's inside!" "Rotten meat, Wrath-" "IT'S A ROBOT, MOMMY!" The littlest homunculus leaps on one of the shieldless Daleks and phases his arm inside. "Yay, robot part- ... EWWWW!" "I told you so."

As for the Fuhrer, he's watching with approval as Alphonse saves his bacon. OK, he could shake it off, being Pride and all, but that would require one hell of an explanation. "I'm glad you could make it, Colonel. I knew I could count on your assistance."

Armstrong is also helping, using those techniques passed down through the generations to create giant stone spikes in front of Alphonse's wall. "And if those pepperpots break through those defenses, then I'll have to use my Strongarm Alchemy on them!" FLEX SPARKLE SPARKLE

Back to Envy, who's watching everything from his lamppost with maniacal glee. "I can't let everyone else have all the fun! In I go!" With another leap, Envy tumbles through the air and lands amidst the middle of a batch of Daleks, transforming along the way in a flash of white sparkles. Someone made sure to read his database files along the way, so he knows the one thing that might give him an advantage against the nigh invulnerable Daleks. Popping up from the landing is not Envy's cute form, but a tall curly-haired chap with a long scarf, floppy hat, and a very silly grin. "The files were a little dated, but I guess if you've seen one Doctor, you've seen 'em all, eh?"

Luffy's strikes hit home, hard, bashing right -through- the bonded polycarbide of the shiel-impaired Dalek armor and crushing the insides, making nasty red ooze squirt out the sides of the collapsed tin-can bodies of the insidious invaders. This gets the ire of a couple other Daleks, who open fire at Luffy. "SECONDARY TARGET ACQUIRED! EX-TER-MIN-ATE THE STRETCHY HUMAN!"

The Daleks rising over the stone wall created by Alphonse find their own shields turning to fire! "AM IGNITED! AM IGNITED!" The two Daleks shriek, before their insides are boiled and the living creatures inside pop, making the empty, useless casings fall and clatter to the ground.

"TAKING HEAVY CASUALTIES!"

"IRRELEVANT! CONTINUE THE ASSAULT!"

"I OBEY!"

The sudden gust of wind makes it hard for the Daleks to maintain their levitation. It was designed primarily for indoor and space use and they didn't take wind into consideration when planning it. A few of the Daleks slam into walls, one of those damaged earlier cracking and exploding in a ball of bluish-white flame. Other are forced to land, while a few more struggle against the wind to ascend to Sakura's level. "EX-TER-MIN-ATE THE HUMAN FEMALE CHILD! SHE IS THE SOURCE OF THE ATMOSPHERIC DISTURBANCE!" They levitate, getting ready to fire at her, their guns taking aim.

That's when one of them is drowned by Sloth, another is killed by Wrath's clumsy alchemy and the others turn to glare at Envy. "IT IS THE DOC-TOR!" The entire army seems to pause and take a hovering step back from the tall, floppy hatted man with the curls and teeth. "YOU ARE THE DOC-TOR! YOU ARE AN ENEMY OF THE DALEKS! PREPARE TO BE EX-TER-MIN-ATED!"

Inside the saucers, the Dalek commanders consult. "IT IS THE DOC-TOR!"

"YES! AS HE APPEARED ON SKARO DURING OUR CREATION! PREPARE TO FIRE MISSILES!"

"I OBEY!"

The Dalek Saucers shift a bit, as weapons ports open on their sides. Uh Oh.

At least there's a barricade. The suit of armor nods, moving to the next step in defense. He rubs his hands together before making another resounding clap, blue light shining. He places them on the ground again, this time forming, not barricades, but a cannon. A giant cannon....with a cat face on the side of it. Cute, yet deadly.

He taps the side of the cannon, letting it explode and let fly its cannonballs at the opposing forces. Very loud, yes it is. BOOM. Alphonse 'blinks,' hoping that it didn't do too much damage. Eh. He'll see.

The Cannonballs strike two Daleks, who, caught in the wind and without shields, are knocked to the ground and explode.
Li Syaoran sputters for a moment or two more, then focuses on his work. The mention of Death Rays has that effect on him.....although Sakura's attack strategy makes him raise his eyebrows. "WIndy?" he asks. "WInd and thund....oh, too late," he mourns, discarding one ofuda and drawing a different one, slamming his sword into it. He /does/ have something that goes well with wind, after all.

"Kasshin! SHOURAI!"

Roaring flame is sucked into Windy's wake, sucking air from her passage and growing into a nice semi-portable inferno that will follow Sakura's card and direction. Li, on the other hand, has other concerns - like those Daleks menacing Sakura, which are taken out by the Homunculi....but not before he steps in front of the sorceress, holding his sword in front of them protectively.

Luffy looks up towards Sakura as he recovers from the attack, and arms snap back into place, and realizes the danger she's in. Luffy disappears from his place (just barely missing the lasers fired at him), and he scoops up Sakura. It doesn't help that Li finds himself there, but Li soon finds himself scooped up, too. With the added weight, Luffy has to force himself to move at a slower pace, but he still moves too quickly to be easily targeted by the lasers, and he quickly sets Sakura and Li down behind the barrier. "Oi, oi. You need to be careful." He gives the two a grin. Boy, that must seem strange, seeing the black-haired teenager with a pinkish skin color and steam rising off his skin.

"Yes sir!" Mustang barks towards the Fuhrer before smirking as the pair of robots explode and crash, he continues his easy stroll, snapping off a few more explosions to ignite more Deleks as he aproaches the barricades. "...Alphonse. Aim for the larger saucers would you?" He asks of the giant metal tin-can that stands next to the walls of stone. However...then that little kid does something compleately unexpected and sends waves of Roy's favorite element rushing across the field.

"...ah. That will do as well." He says almost conversationally as he raises his one good arm towards the fire jet that follows Sakura's Windy. He only needs a little spark of course, so it dosn't take away from Li's attack, but quite suddenly as Mustang gestures a new raging and wide jet of flame and burning leaps away from Li's.

This one heading towards the now open gunports of one of those Saucers. Lets see what happens when their weapons meet several thousand degrees of BURN.

Sakura's eyes widen big and green when the Dalek invaders point their weapons at her, and again when Li, of all people, steps in to protect her. "Li, what are you...!"

But that thought is dashed when she spots 'The Doctor.' Hey, didn't the person she saw who called himself The Doctor look different? Is he another Doctor? How confusing! But she takes advantage of the situation, dashing out of the area where she was targeted before, and= Being snatched up by Mr. Straw Hat!

"Um...whoa! Uh, okay! Thank you, but, but I'll be okay! We'll be okay, we're both professional magicians." A lie, Sakura is an unpaid amateur. "Um, careful, you're steaming! That doesn't look healthy."

She turns to Li, as she pulls out The Jump and The Sword. "What should we do next...?

Ah! The Colonel! Alphonse eeps as he's spoken to, saluting awkwardly. "Oh! Yes, Yes! Got it." He claps once more, reloading the cannon and moving it sevral degrees to aim at the giant saucers. Hmm. With this, he fires the cannonballs, the sound dying out as the objects flew far.

It depends whether they hit or not. Plus, he didn't think he'd find the Colonel here. Wow. More reunion time later.

Sloth quietly sloshes back into the shadows, her hair whipping in the wind as she drops a water-logged Dalek behind her. "It's too much of a mess here," she sighs, "I think its a good time for us leave." Wrath, now fused into Dalekmantium or whatever its called, rattles his Dalek's eyestalk as he pitifully looks up at 'mommy'. "Can I bring this one along too? I want to build my own robot!" "No, Wrath, you'll just leave a mess on the floor." "But-" "No buts." "Awwww."

Not to be outdone, Armstrong covers the Colonel's flank and summons mighty Strongarm Alchemy to slam a fist into the nearest unshielded Dalek. "You would destroy my home? Take THAT!" An approving Fuhrer hops off the truck and takes just one look at his alchemists' handiwork before turning to a nearby soldier with his fatherly grin. "Now all we need to do is find out where to send the repair bills to."

Ah, drawing aggro is such a wonderful feeling. Envy bares all of the Fourh Doctor's teeth for his audience, and even doffs the hat to take a bow. "Perhaps I am that Doctor. Or perhaps..." There's another flash, and an older man with white poofy hair and a fatherly smile takes his place. "Maybe I'm this Doctor." He transforms yet again, into a much smaller man with a snappy straw hat and yellow jacket. "Or maybe this Doctor!" And yet again, now into the leather-jacketed smiling fool everyone's become familiar with. "Or this Doctor! Maybe I'm all of them!" The heck with the Doctor. Envy's using the tricks he learned from the file of one James Tiberius Kirk, Destroyer of Supercomputers.

"WE WILL EX-TER-MIN-ATE ALL DOC-TORS!" And the Daleks begin firing on Envy, wanting more then anything else to destroy their hated foe. It's almost like everyone and everything else on the battlefield takes second place to killing this one man.

Up above, the Dalek Commander prepares to fire his missiles when flames engulf the weapons bays, causing the explosives in the weapons to go off. Massive explosions rock the sky, the lead Saucer bulging at the seems and then bursting into a fireball that rains flaming shrapnel down on the city while the main mass carrens just outside of city limits. The secondary Dalek commander weighs his options.

"CONTINUE THE ATTACK!" He orders his troops, even as all the lights on his saucer go dark and it begins to float off in the night, out towards the desert.

Armstrong's attacks shatter two Daleks, just making them explode into shards and a fine, red mist. After the wind, the water, the fire and the earth attacks, there are maybe a dozen Daleks left on the battlefield and only half of those are still shielded.

Li Syaoran is not as accepting of help from people without Green Eyes of Doom.

<> he yelps in Mandarin/Xingese, twisting against the rubbery man....not that it does crap. Geeze, that Monkey D. Luffy is a slithery son of a gun.

Fortunately for Li's temper, Luffy lets him down on the rooftop soon enough. His ears still red and his face angry under the mask, Li surveys the situation in response to Sakura's question, his eyes scanning the area. "I....don't know," he admits, looking a little lost in all the fire and rays and chaos and old men with British accents. They remind Li of Eriol, and so he hates them immediately.

"Maybe....uh....freeze them? And then you could go big and break them?"

Luffy grins at Sakura. "It's just the effects of Gear Second." He pats her head softly. "I just don't want you two to get hurt, that's all." He cracks his knuckles and looks up towards the saucer.. moving under some cover to avoid the rain of firey shrapnel. Once it's stopped, he considers going after the saucer heading for the desert, but suddenly.. feels like he doesn't have much stamina left. His skin returns to its normal pigmentation as he tries to conserve his strength, and he moves to a sit. He's /starving/. He moves behind the barriers safety as he recovers. He's going to have to do this the hard way if he doesn't have any meat to replenish his stamina. "Ehhh.."

The Flame Alchemist smirks as the explosion takes out one of the flying machines. "Alphonse, Armstrong, see if you can take out some of the larger pieces of shrapnel." The Colnel snaps out as he raises his hand again. Being a Flame Alchemist has a secondary, and very useful ability. He can control fire, which means he can put out as well as ignite.

Thats what he calls upon now, concentrating on the flames that are dropping from the sky, putting some out, and increasing the power of others so they burn themselves out before they hit the ground. "Someone track that other flying machine." He snaps off to one of his own troops as more come up to pummel the hell out of the Deleks. Seems that they own this day.
"Oh, don't worry about us getting hurt, Mr. Straw Hat!" Sakura forgot to ask his name. "We'll be fine! At least, um, I hope..." Admittedly, this does look pretty grim, but it's within Sakura's eternally optimistic nature to refuse to admit that she might well be absolutely, positively screwed.

She turns to Li, tapping her foot in thought, and then nods. "Okay! You do that. You use the Freeze, and I'll do the rest! Here, I'll make a distraction so you can do that." She reaches through her deck, and whips out the one card that makes Li cringe by its very nature.

"THE BUBBLES!"

This causes a big burst of...bubbles, completely harmless giant bubbles, to go floating through the battlefield. The Daleks may or may not care, but Sakura figures that distraction can't /hurt./

Aw, man - everything's happening at once! Alphonse glahs, clapping yet again. Good thing his hands don't smart after doing all of this; he sometimes wonders if Ed ever had his own hand hurt from hitting the metal one.

With this transmutation, rocky hands emerge from the ground, reaching skyward to either grab or shield from any metal bits. This might not be good enough, but he's trying. The suit of armor emits a squeak of some sort, holding in a breath. That is, if he had any. Hands, hands, everywhere!

Speaking of owning, the Doctor's just took twelve point blank Dalek Death Ray blasts. Envy's last thought is that he'll never listen to this Kirk fellow ever agian. And though a dozen pepperpots may go down, they will all go down with the knowledge that they were the one who finally exterminated the meddling Doctor!

Perhaps not. A moment after he collapses to the ground, the Doctor transforms again, and a low moaning chuckle can be heard as he- er- she? raises from the ground. "You think a bad laser light show would be the end of me?" Behold the Tenth Regeneration of the Doctor, a young bespectacled Japanese schoolgirl with huuuuuuuge tracts of land and who nobody should recognize as Karakura High's resident raging lesbian. She's also mounting a cannon the size of her mammary gland in each hand. "DIE!" Bullets blaze as Envy laughs uncontrollably - damn, its fun to be the shapeshifter!

As for Major Armstrong, a small orphanage is saved when he uses alchemy techniques passed down through generations blah blah blah to create a stone shield above their house.

Daleks explode, debris falls (though most of it is diverted), bubbles fill the area and things go Boom! When the smoke clears... there isn't a Dalek left in one piece, giant stone hands shield most of the populace from chunks of spaceship and it's quiet.... eerily quiet.

Meanwhile back on the Dalek Saucer that is even now burrowing into the desert sands, the remaining seven Daleks converse. "HAS OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE BEEN COMPLETED?"

"AFFIRMATIVE!"

"EXCELLENT! THEN SOON, WE SHALL OPEN A RIFT USING THE ENERGY FROM THE TEMPORAL ANOMALY AND PREVENT THE EX-TER-MIN-ATION OF THE DALEK RACE! OUR ALLY LU-THOR WILL BE EXTERMINATED AND THE DALEKS WILL REIGN OVER TIME AND SPACE AS THE SUPREME MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!"

Li Syaoran hates this plan now that Sakura busts out The Bubble, a look of disgust flashing across his face. "Anooo...did you really have to do that? I mean....ah...."

Li scans the area with a frown, planting his sword into the rooftop and leaning his weight onto it with obvious relief. "Phew. I think that might be all of them. See any more?"

Luffy rubs the back of his head and leans back against the barrier. He turns his head to peek over it.. phew, it seems they're in the clear. He slinks down to lay down and close his eyes, yawning. Man, he's tired /AND/ he's hungry. "I'm still not used to it.." He says simply to himself. It's going to take a long time, he figures. He folds his arms behind his head and stares up at the night sky, definetely out of place behind that barrier with red shirt, blue pants, and a straw hat. Ah, well.

"O-kay! The Bi-...oh, they're all gone!" Sakura blinks, putting the Big Card out of the way and sighing. "Well, I'm...glad they're gone, even if the town is a mess...poor city. I'll talk to the IPA, and we'll see if we can get some rebuilding and stuff, because that's awful...but thanks for helping, soldier people, um, Doct..ors, Mr. Straw Hat! And you too, Li!"

Li gets a Green-Eyed Sakura Smile of Doom.

When the smoke clears, the 'Doctor' is nowhere to be found, either. Amestrian soldiers quickly march in and secure the area, while the medics treat the wounded and put out the sporadic fire. With the ground clear, the Fuhrer walks into the wreckage, accompanied yet again by a squeaky clean Colonel Douglas. "Odd." Pride kicks over a Dalek head and looks up at the clear night sky, "An alien invasion and this was the best they had to offer. Were they gauging our strength?" Sloth nods emotionlessly, "Envy mentioned something about them being nearly extinct. Perhaps this was all they had." That answer doesn't compute with Pride's tactical mind. He picks the head off the ground, and matches the eyestalk eye for eye with a growing frown. "I don't buy it. Tell Envy to find out more about these Daleks. I don't want a repeat performance. of tonight." "Understood."

Li Syaoran sputters and flushes a bit.

"B....betsu ni," he mutters quietly, raising his sword, flourishing it and tucking it away into nowhere, faint magic motes of light dissolving away as he dispels the blade. "I...it was just a..." Li clears his throat. "Anyway. I'm leaving. Are you coming?"

Such a charmer, that one.

Somewhere on the side, Alphonse still keeps an eye out as well. Of course, he also decides to sneak away while everyone else is busy. He still needs to find Edward. And maybe the Colonel again, later. Like a shadow, somehow, the suit of armor is off.

In an abandoned house, not too far away from the battleground, 'Chizuru' is staring at herself in a mirror. "Of all the forms, why the hell did I choose -this- one!?" His eyes droop down to chest-level, and with a curious blink, he hefts up his, um, bouncy assets. Bouncebounce. "Oi, I forgot just how good looking she was. Maybe I oughta use this form more often..." Bouncebounce.
