Operation: "Paris Is for Lovers"

Feb 29, 2008 07:03

WHO: Hrist Valkyrie, Korari Windsilver, Michael Wilson, Vincent Volaju
WHAT: Vincent Volaju, with his mysterious new backing, initiates another bioterrorist attack with ethereal aid. A Blood Elf and the President are on the scene.
WHERE: Paris, Mundane Sector
WATCH FOR: The Horsemen on the move, Garma Zabi, and lots of critical hits

Vincent Volaju says,'> Vincent Volaju says, "Absence makes a heart grow fonder... and with the absence of reality in this dream... It's been long enough. How these days are able to go by, leaving such tortured souls trapped.. I'll just have to free them of this illusion."
Michael Wilson says, "I was never one for poetry myself."
Vincent Volaju says, "It is just a saying.. a very good one, in this case."
Korari Windsilver says, "And who gave you the right to free these 'tortured souls' from this 'illusion'?"
Toushirou Hitsugaya says, "You're the only one that's trapped in that illusion."
Vincent Volaju says, "This dream world.. could not possibly be real."
Korari Windsilver says, "Then lead by example! Wake yourself, and others will follow."
Sephi Graham says evenly, "This real world could not possibly be a dream."
Michael Wilson says, "So it's a battle of tautologies, is it?"
Vincent Volaju says, "You would believe so... and I cannot wake myself.. I have tried."
Vincent Volaju says, "My only escape from Purgatory.. will be the door."
Sephi Graham says, "Have you considered, perhaps, that you are not meant to awaken?"
Korari Windsilver mutters, "You obviously didn't try hard enough..." Then, louder, "The Light forsakes all who harbor darkness, I will gleefully 'wake' you myself."
Hrist Valkyrie says, "Such a violent streak can be turned to useful ends."
Vincent Volaju says, "I would welcome it.. but you will not be able to .. I'll help free you from your binds."
Vincent Volaju says, "Come then, to Paris. The game can't start... without another player."
Jody Crawford says, "Mister President, it sounds like the philosophers are getting restless! I bet you have some kind of rebuttal you could show them."
Michael Wilson's radio transmits metal sliding onto metal. "Yeah... game on, Jody."

It is Paris.. and it is night. The light is fading from the sky, the sun slipping behind the shroud of night, leaving traces of oranges and yellows in the sky, along with purples and blues. The populace is out and about. It is a night.. like any other.

But there are always small exceptions. Within the center of a square.. there is a man in black. He doesn't seem to aim to hide at all, at this moment.. waiting, standing infront of a fountain, where others sit and walk by. Perhaps it has something to do with some of the cars, placed about, here and there over the landscape of the city.. although there's only a few, two or three, they are placed where the most would be nearby. It took a day, at least, to set some things up.

But why would some place bother a man.. minding his own business? The unkempt man stays in his position, some children running by, a few elderly sitting near the fountain. It is a perfect night. The weather clear, the temperature warm enough that nothing heavy is necessary.

While he is expecting a certain member... Vincent does not expect what else may be arriving.

This would not change his goal, however. There are those all about him .. that are going to be helped. It would not take much longer .. and now, all he awaits for is the guest of honor. And they would join the rest.

That is the plan, at least. A single marble is rolled in his hand, rubbed between a finger and thumb, currently.

'Come to Paris' the man had said. Of course, he never did say where in this Light-forsaken city to go. This is why a somewhat lost young woman with silver hair strolls down the sidewalk. Her head adorned with a distinctive Chapeau, her figure enclosed in a crimson cloak. The rattle of mail and plate marks her every step, but since the Gates opened this doesn't draw much attention. Nor does the crimson spear across her back, adorned in gold and jewels.
Clearly, muggers will probably think twice.
She's not obviously an elf, her ears are tucked under the Chapeau and hidden quite neatly under it. She's looking for someone, but doesn't know what he looks like. So, for the moment, she's just keeping an eye out for anything strange.
Korari Windsilver, disguised as a certain High Inquisitor.
Hrist, once more in her 'mortal' form, walks out of a street and into the Square. She does appear armed with a sword and light armor, but otherwise isn't particularly impressive looking in terms of defensives, though there is a quality to her dark eyes and hair, a small smile on her lips...

"Well," She leans forward and looks into Vincent's eyes, "I do not know whether I should wish you victory or defeat. Do you prefer one or the other?"

It was true. But then, there are ways to figure out which is which. The man in black, Vincent, steps away from the fountain. A few steps forwards, careful to not interrupt the happenings about him, before his attention is caught. With a weapon, she is armed.. as well as a smile, worn on her face. Looking back at her own, his somewhat empty.. but determined. They show a focus.

"Victory .. defeat... my main task is over..." He holds the marble up, letting it roll gently down, off his hand, catching it with his other. "When the game is." He would not detonate it immediately. The fun, he has found, requires another to react. "It should not be a problem.. but I have realized.. how can they tell where the game is?"

A smirk stretches his face as he reaches into his heavy coat, turning towards an elder gentleman, and away from Hrist. Before firing once.

Screams are heard. Yells. People move. Sirens might be heard as well. His position, if anything, is easy to find now. Perhaps it's the 'scene' that's going on at the fountain, Korari? A much easier thing to find now.. At least. Smoke from the barrel dissipates as he slides it back into his coat.

"But when I unleash the power .. you should not be nearby." He comments, almost offhandedly.
The sound of gunshots is one thing the Paladin is well versed in. Weapons favored by the Dwarves, over all, but notably more common in more modern realms such as this. She narrows her eyes, turning her attention towards fleeing citizenry, and then bulldozing her way towards what they're running away from.
After a few moments, she bursts from the rim of the crowd and draws her spear. The glowing weapon is brought in a wide arc, then rested tip-down on the sidewalk.
"All to get my attention? You shouldn't have. Now that I've found you, I'll be ending this dream of yours." Her free hand whips her cloak (and chapeau) off, revealing her Battleforged armor, "In the name of the Blood Knights of Silvermoon!"
Hey, she's beating up a terrorist, this'll make her people look good!

Air Force One sails far over the night skies of Paris, the Presidential Staff rushing to battle stations and standing by to prepare an extract. Jody Crawford, the President's personal secretary, sits with a headset mic, listening in on whatever transmissions she can pick up. "Mister President, according to the Secretary of State's information, you're not going to be up against any ordinary opponent. He's a known bioterrorist who's probably targeting the picturesque citizens of Paris this evening. We'll have to keep Metal Wolf in decontamination for a little time after this operation to be safe."
Michael Wilson marches his Special Operations Heavy Armored Powered Suit to the edge of Air Force One's drop platform, leaning down as the wind whips by. "Bioterrorist, huh? Then I'll show him what America thinks of terror."

Jody smirks, typing in communication with the rest of the Presidential Staff. "The world would be a poorer one if the enemy achieves his heinous goal of exterminating the people of Paris. Imagine no romantic outdoor cafes as the sun sets. And I've never even gotten the chance to visit the Louvre! This mission is codenamed..." She reaches forward, pushing a key on her console, triggering the recorded sound of a drumroll. "'Operation Paris Is for Lovers.' For all the romantics across the world... give 'em hell, Mister President."

The tremendous, bulky mech that is Metal Wolf overlooks the drop down into the middle of metropolitan Paris far below, and then leaps into freefall, sailing straight down. "WAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOO!" Not far from Vincent Volaju's last confirmed position, in the middle of a wide road, Metal Wolf crashes, sending up heavy loads of pavement and dust. The mech rises up in the middle of the smoke, raising enormous scaled-up versions of a handgun in one hand, and a shotgun in the other, as Michael Wilson's voice opens up by intercom. "Alright, Mister Bioterrorist! LET'S TANGO!"

Hrist dips her head briefly. "As you wish," She smiles, "I wouldn't want to get in your way. I suppose I should just wish that you have a fun game, rather than you have a certain outcome." She steps back, and walks away from whench she came. A fleeing civilian rushes by her, and once she would have been visible again--she is gone.

In another plane, Garma Zabi is angry. "Why have you called for me?! I do not work for you! My deal was with the other Valkyrie!" He jabs a finger at Hrist, "Let me go! If she is gone, I should be free!"
Hrist smiled at the Einherjar, "But I need your aid, Garma. Please--will you reconsider? Perhaps we can work out another deal."
Garma snorts.
"Your brother, Gihren Zabi, seems to have some influence with the Horsemen and intends to utilize them to support his goals of Zeon dominance. These are your goals as well. Though he is not as trusting, he will need someone to watch his back."
Garma falls quiet and then murmurs a sullen, "...Fine."
"Your opponent is the Terrorist Metal Wolf." Valkyrie murmurs, "But he is not as he appears."

When he is summoned to the physical realm, Garma Zaku comes with his equipment. This equipment appears to be a mere Zaku mobile suit. He does not move his suit, letting panicked civilians around the square run around him, he pivots his machine to look at the Deadly Terrorist Metal Wolf.

"Your fight is with me!" Zabi yells, the shoulder machine gun opening fire towards the powerful armored shell of the Presidential Armor!

Hrist Valkyrie hits Michael Wilson with her Ghost from the Past! attack.

It gets her attention. Just what he had wanted. He does not move, as she runs in, the weapon in her hands recognized.. but not the way that it glows. that's .. quite the sight. But when giant robots of different species, capable of various things , exist.. such things as glowing weapons are not hard to believe.

It's all a dream to him, anyways. "How else.. would you find where I was? You could have gone for hours.... Why would I wait as long?" Her armor is certainly something.. Vincent takes note. It's far different from the vests he is use to.. he will not be able to get to her through it with anything beyond a crack shot..

"What high spirits.... Do you think of yourself a hero?" He asks, taking slow, deliberate steps towards this comer.. before something .. else happens. "Because .."

And then he's rudely interrupted. The bulky mech, Metal Wolf, crashes into middle of the road.. and one of the cars he had planted is immediately crushed. Already a mission objective complete? One of many. But it may give him an idea to look for. No marbles come from it, but C4 may be noted.

Some were not planning on ever starting up again.

Turning to the giant machine, huge weapons in their hands, Vincent does not look impressed. But he does react. He doesn't need to say a word, to show he sees Michael as not just a threat, but a large one, that looks like it's full of weapons.

He's on the move immediately, and snapping out his gun, actually runs towards Korari. And then past. But as he runs, he fires, perhaps not the most accurate.. why.. only a single shot might strike it's target. He's moving for cover, which happens to be a building that is currently being renovated, for future use. It's a mostly outdoor building. Cape trailing behind him, he heads around a corner, pelting, or aiming to pelt, the Bloodmage as he goes.

Vincent Volaju hits Korari Windsilver with his If I had a pet, it might be .. a spider jab.

A round spangs off the Blood Knight's armored shoulder, another grazes her arm between plates. With a growl of anger rather then pain, she whirls after him. "Don't think you can escape me!" She whirls the Ranseur spear up in one hand and charges after the becoated man. In mid-stride, a rune of blue and white expands across the pavement beneath her feet, following her as she gives chase.
Devotion. A mystic aura that raises her resiliance. A typical move for any Paladin. Why she didn't have it up when she arrived is anyone's guess, but it's certainly in place now. While the President may be on her side, he's either too far away or simply doesn't count as a proper ally. So no bonus for you.

Korari Windsilver buffs her STA to +2.

There goes the terrorist - but Michael Wilson doesn't have the luxury of keeping his eyes solely on him, because - here comes /something/ out of nowhere - another powered suit opening fire for whatever reason. The machinegun fire impacts into an invisible sphere surrounding Metal Wolf, dissolving into white noise, as Metal Wolf's shielding systems hold up; but the stress of withstanding the assault burns out an energy pod.

"Mister President, I'm getting some strange readings up here," Jody chimes in over her direct connection. "The enemy unit just appeared out of nowhere, like a ghost or something! It looks like this 'ghost' haunting you has a grudge he wants to settle, and I'm willing to bet he won't let you go without a fight!"

Michael Wilson grits his teeth, Metal Wolf settling into a crouched stance. The turbo boost systems on its rear then kick into gear, sending Metal Wolf 'skating' rapidly across the streets of Paris after Vincent Volaju, ignoring the fire from behind beyond a few token zigs and zags. It looks like a second target is coming around that corner soon after the Bloodmage, veering wildly in a curve, and opening fire with the enormous slugs from that mecha-scale handgun. "Playing Hide and Seek, are we? Well then, you're it!"

You miss Vincent Volaju with your Destroying the Target Area attack.

Hrist remains completely out of sight and mind, but Zabi seems able to maintain his corporeal state for the moment. He spots, now, that the mecha has the presidential seal on it. This is a terrorist? "Hah! I knew Earthdogs were terrorists, Valkyrie did not have to tell me so. Sieg Zeon!" The Zaku chases after Metal Wolf, but it doesn't seem to have a turbo boost even as it manages to sate across the ground. Hide and Seek isn't just Hide and Seek, it's also a game of Tag in disguise!

He doesn't seem to be half as interested in the fight between Vincent and Korari as Hrist was--he was given a different target. Instead he continues firing at the retreating armor, unable to gt as good a bead on it due to its movements.

Hrist Valkyrie hits Michael Wilson with her It's a PRESIDENTIAL gundam! *explosion* jab.

Staying in motion, Vincent notices the sight of the other Mech in the area. He will have to thank her later. There is a difference between defeat.. and death. He is sure, perhaps, fighting such a thing .. would end up with him never finding the door. Or perhaps he would.

He would not know anymore.

Turning about, he doesn't see the rune of blue and white, but as she follows, it becomes apparent.. but what it does isn't. Not immediately. As she runs about the corner as well, she would be looking down the barrel of his gun. But not that close..

A few feet between them, perhaps out of the robots eyes for a moment. Though the building, of course, is not out of the robots range of weaponsfire. A common sign of mech superiority!

"I do not aim to escape..." The trigger is tensed. ".. Not from you." The mech, however, is arguable. Speaking of which. Guess what's coming around the bend? Enormous slugs are fired towards Vincent, and firing two quick shots at where the armor and leg armor split, he aims to hit the exposed flesh..

And immediately dives out into the open once again. It's hard not to, when there is such a thing as a collapsing building. Getting to his feet, he takes off. It looks like it'll be a running battle, since part of the building nearly collapses onto the terrorist. "I have a game as well!" He calls out. "I have this detonator..... and I'll press it. I'm sure you know I will.. but I won't .. yet. Eventually though..." It's clear what he's talking about. And to make matters worse? The Police are arriving, police cars beginning to clog up the streets Michael uses to get around!

Vincent Volaju hits Korari Windsilver with his Aggro Drawn ( You're going to get alot of these WoW jokes, so this is my last I promise! ) attack.

"Drop it." Korari states in a flat voice. The spearhead is lowered, haft balanced with both hands. She'd come to a stop when she rounded the corner right into his pistol, and now stands in a sort of face-off. "Or I'll make you drop it." She can't sense any magic in him, which is a bit unfortunate.
His answer comes when he shoots her. The round veers wildly, only grazing the exposed skin on her thigh rather then piercing right through it. Almost like she had an invisible plate of armor there! "...Tch."
A golden rune spreads around her feet, then disappears in a flash of light. Identical runes appear on the blade of the Ranseur spear, and she swings it in a wide arc, "By the Crusader's Light, BE SEALED!"
On impact, the rune burns into the Terrorist's skin. It stings. The pointy object she's using to brand it is probably not much better.

Korari Windsilver critically strikes Vincent Volaju with her You Pulled A Raid Boss attack.
Korari Windsilver buffs Vincent Volaju's STA to -1.

"Earthdogs?" Michael Wilson sputters, as another energy pod is taken down by Garma Zabi's machinegun spray, bringing Metal Wolf's shielding down further than the last strike. Metal Wolf spins around, facing Vincent Volaju at one end and Garma Zabi at the other. "So I'm dealing with a spaceman here! What's the deal, spaceman? Come for the biological attack, stay for the drinks?" He grits his teeth as Vincent makes his threat. "Stop jerking me around!!"

Got to shake the 'ghost' first - he can't continue to sustain damage like that for too long and stay concentrated enough to tackle a delicate situation like this. Metal Wolf looks around one way, then the other, and then marches down the middle, and takes a flying leap, higher than a human could jump on the same scale, clutching onto the collapsed ruin of the building. Metal Wolf's thrusters drive it up the walls of the building, and when it reaches a sturdy perch of debris, the weapon storage compartment 'backpacks' on its back suddenly swivel open, revealing a massive armory of weapons rotating in quick motion into position. Metal Wolf stores the shotgun away, and pulls out of the armory a heavy missile launcher, carrying it in one hand. The compartments close back up as Metal Wolf levels the missile launcher down at the Zaku, opening fire from his higher ground. "Okay, spaceman! We have launch!"

You critically strike Hrist Valkyrie with your I Don't Have Snappy MMO References attack.

Before he can get away, the armor clad elf is able to swing her spear towards him, and the terrorist is on the end of a rather magical weapon .. instead of a normal blade, it burns into his skin, much like the weapon as well. It's a painful touch, certainly, and blood is drawn.. enough to cause Vincent to slow for a moment.. before holding out the arm he's been stabbed in .. and licking it. The blood, you see, allows him to see the butterflies..

Even if the virus is long gone within him, it is a thing that triggers such 'sights'. Even if they are not truly real.

"I refuse... I don't need to worry about someone such as you... another of the many heros.. do you know why my dream.. has not yet ended?" He asks to her, the police beginning to surround the area. He pays them no mind. "Because they are unable to..."

And instead of moving away, he moves closer, aiming for the woman's neck with his hand.

And the lunge is to hold her up by it for a moment. Looking to Michael for a moment, smiling, Vincent says nothing. He realizes it .. but for the moment.. he brings up the gun to Korari. Pressing it against her armor. It may be heavy .. but force transfers.. and so close?

"I will see you, 'hero'... but on the other side. When I find the door." He fires.. but she might have squirmed free!

Vincent Volaju misses Korari Windsilver with his No helmet? But they prevent critical hits! attack.

Yes, Michael Wilson.

You are dealing with a Space Ghost.

Zabi coasts from side to side as e dashes after Metal Wolf but--wowzers! The President of these Great United States of America just leaps into the air and clutches to a ruined building--Zabi is a a Super Robot fighter so naturally he keeps shooting. Even as Michael Wilson pulls up to the ruined debris, he fires--hoping to dislodge the mecha and send it tumbling to the ground--spreading bulletfire for his perch and his thrusters!

This may cause Mister President some problems--but he does get the missile off, and with Zabi so intent on shooting down Metal Wolf--e is easy prey for the talons of the Eagle of Freedom! The missile slams into the chest of the machine an sends it flying back even as a portion of the explosion engulfs its front! Ghostly sparkles emanate from the wound's impact point. A normal Zaku would have been destroyed, but this is fortified by the Will of Valhalla!

Hrist Valkyrie critically strikes Michael Wilson with her SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE GHOOOOOOOOOOOOOST: Coast to Coast! attack.

The Elfin maiden growls, snatched and slammed against a wall by her throat and little else. She recalls, clearly, the Red Hood's brief introduction. This man is very strong. Allowing him to grip such a delicate place for long is a death sentence. She had dropped her spear when he grabbed her, and such she is left with few options. She grabs his wrist with one hand, the other shoving the pistol away to one side.
"..Spare me your nonsense..." the Knight growls. She squirms in place, wrapping a leg around Vincent's, the other twisting the other way. Her body lurches in a violent attempt to both wrench herself free and knock the large man off his feet. Moving with the spin of her own body, she rolls into a low crouch, snatching up her spear and rising to her feet, "..You would harm the innocent for this sick dream of yours. The Light forsakes all who harbor the Shadow, and your soul is stained black with blood." Swinging the Spear in an arc, a runic marking appears around her feet. As it burns away, a pair of golden wings spring from her back, accompanied by a gleaming crown-like halo, "..Killing you is an act of mercy!"
No, it's not Avenging Wrath. It's a Seal of Righteousness, which is less 'Oh Sh-' but makes some nifty effects. The Elf descends on Vincent with her spear once again. If she can keep him fighting, maybe he won't have time to set off that detonator. She might even manage to get it away from him, that would be good, but she didn't see what he did with it after he grabbed her.

Korari Windsilver buffs her POW to +1.
Korari Windsilver critically strikes Vincent Volaju with her But I'm not from D&D attack.

Michael Wilson grunts inside Metal Wolf as Garma Zabi's aim doesn't falter for a second as he's forced to switch weapons. Metal Wolf takes it all, its shield shining around it as two more energy pods burn out under the barrage. Not too many remaining... Metal Wolf is down about half of its energy pods now. Not good. Still, the President of the United States of America never thinks about defeat. Barrel forward into victory at all costs! Zabi isn't the target objective. The target objective is down there...

And it seems like Michael Wilson is now getting about the same idea as Korari, just in his own extreme risk-taking way. Metal Wolf leaps into the air, and then slams suddenly down, crashing the building debris flat and bringing it back level with the others - low enough to reach an arm down to attempt to grab Vincent Volaju with his own enormous arm, exerting mechanically reinforced strength.

You critically strike Vincent Volaju with your Grab attack.

Michael Wilson speaks on the intercom again as he lifts Vincent Volaju into the air, intensifying his grip around the terrorist. Keep him distracted and unable to use that detonator! Make him drop it even, if he's lucky. "Sorry, ma'am," he says to Korari. "I'm going to have to borrow this for a second." Metal Wolf then turns around swiftly, and does the first thing that comes to mind.

He uses Vincent Volaju as a projectile to sail after the damaged spaceman.

You get a glancing blow on Hrist Valkyrie with your Throw! feint.
Vincent Volaju hits Vincent Volaju with his *PING* attack.

SPAAAACE GHOOOOOST.

Vincent goes *KLONK* against the Space Nazi's armor. Why, you might have broke the machine gun with Vincent's body. "You're attacking me with a body?!" Zabi complains. "But you made a mistake--you've lost the high ground!" HAX!

Not moving to help poor Vincent (poor Vincent!), he dashes forward for the dangerous Metal Wolf, a red lined hatchet drawing into his hand as he aims to tackle into the Metal Wolf and smack it about with his blade! Why, you could even say that Zabi is trying to play...!

Hrist Valkyrie gets a glancing blow on Michael Wilson with her Cowboys and Indians! jab.

Vincent's pistol is shoved away from the target. A problem, but not a bothering one. And in the end, a leg wraps about his, Korari's body lurching in an attempt, freeing herself as he's knocked off his feet, before she's on him once again with the spear. It slams more than solidly into him, burying itself within his flesh. But he pushes it away. grabbing the hilt, and pulling it out of him.

You can be sure, with the blood stain left on his jacket that it hurt. But he doesn't seem to react.

"A sick dream..... " He smiles, still, bleeding as she pushes it back, and away, getting to his feet. "In the end... this purgatory is the sick dream. Pointless, non-existent lives.. a hell forever in this world.. and I am stuck." He recites, calmly.

"And you cannot kill those who've already died.. maybe you can .. but I don't fear it." And then Micahel Wilson grabs Vincent. The metal behemoth takes him up, and crushes him. His body is not meant to take it, and tossed at Zabi, it fares .. far better than the grab did.

Landing on the ground, Vincent collapses. A pool of blood forming around him when he finally lands.

But he gets back up, and slowly, but surely, advances on Korari. A few steps at first. His movements heavy, slick with blood that is almost over every inch of him.. the crushing had not taken care of him well.

And worse, the detonator had been crushed. Sideways. The button never got to be pressed. And when it did,m it was by the side.

You can't press buttons by the side.

Flipping out the Luger, he raises it, aiming it towards Korari as he moves in closer. "But heros.. always end up the same way. No matter how hard they fight." With that, he whips the gun towards Korari's head.. and then shifts, grabbing with his left arm, moving in close, and trying to elbow her.. in the face, again, before flipping her onto the ground, and if he gets that far, stepping on her armor, smiling.

"As memories."

Vincent Volaju juggles Korari Windsilver with his KUNG FU > Armor combo.
Korari Windsilver breaks Vincent Volaju's combo.

She stabs him, and then he's quite suddenly abducted by a giant robot fist. Korari follows the Metal Wolf's hand out of the building (And, by extension, Vincent) at a jog, though she quite suddenly stops when she spies the other, clearly more hostile machine that just had a grim man thrown into it. And then, with some disbelief, she watches Vincent stand again. He really is tenacious.
The golden wings and halo disappear after a few seconds, and she narrows her eyes at his approach. The Ranseur is raised defensively. She moves to the left, however, when he swings from the right. The blow knocks her in a complete circle, dazed for a critical second. The Ranseur drops to her feet, and she is summarily knocked flat on her back in just a few seconds.
The Elf's senses return, though she is clearly dazed. Scrabbling, she clutches the hilt of the sword on her hip. In a wild motion, she yanks the Sin'Dorei warblade out of its scabbard and swings it in a clumsy upward arc before he can fire that pistol in her face.
"RAH." It's clear she's confused, and a bit uncoordinated from that blow to the head.

Korari Windsilver hits Vincent Volaju with her Dazed :( jab.

"Mister President! You did it! The detonator has been destroyed. Now just mop up the remaining enemy units and Paris can sleep soundly tonight." Michael Wilson smiles to the sound of Jody on his direct connection, and then skates forward and straight past Vincent Volaju, leaving plenty of room for Korari to engage him directly again (and vice versa). "You are the most pretentious terrorist I've ever met," Michael Wilson announces over intercom as he passes Vincent. "Bor-ing!"

Garma Zabi is a more immediate threat; while Air Force One doubles back to prepare for extract, Zabi is scoring serious hits on Metal Wolf's shielding. This one unit is formidable - not that Michael Wilson is demoralized in the least. Jody chimes in on his radio again, "Oh, Mister President! He has a tomahawk! You'd better look out, Mister President. I have a feeling our little friend wants to play Cowboys and Indians!"

Metal Wolf boosts to barrel straight past Garma Zabi, suddenly zagging at the last minute - a move which doesn't spare Metal Wolf from the damaging slice of the Zaku's hatchet, but which minimizes its efficacy to drain Metal Wolf's shields. Metal Wolf comes to a squealing, curving stop beyond Zabi, those enormous weapons backpacks opening once again long enough for Metal Wolf store both of its weapons away. "Alright, Sitting Bull! You wanna play Cowboys and Indians, huh? Well, I can play too, and I've got bad news for you, pal." Metal Wolf lifts two scaled-up six-shooters from the armory, which closes back up, and then begins to fire and strafe, marching directly over a police barricade and through the wall of an evacuated florist's, collapsing the building. "I'M THE SHERIFF, AND YOU'RE IN MY TOWN NOW!"

You hit Hrist Valkyrie with your I Am the Sheriff (but I didn't shoot the deputy) jab.

Zabi is a little smarter than some of the other Einherjar, "You'er an American, this is Paris! However, if you mean you're part of the Federation--"

Bang Bang! You're dead! The Zoku stumbles back as two thick holes open up in the cockpit shielding and into Zabi. He grunts, but doesn't seem to leak blood--but rather more sparkles! He really is a ghost! The armor nearly falls over from the force. Those six shooters hit with the force of six tons! Maybe not, but that's a good pun.

His machine gun doesn't seem to be working--so he has his mech lift up a large piece of rubble and--he throws it at Metal Wolf! Here's a gift!

Hrist Valkyrie gets a glancing blow on Michael Wilson with her *kink* feint.

As she falls on her back, he pulls back the trigger.. and then the Elf swings upwards in a wild motion. Vincent's caught by it, more blood being drawn. It's impossible, almost, the amount of blood that's taken from him .. and yet he stands, staggering a bit backwards, gathering himself, sliding a hand along the path of the blade.

The RAH is also a sign of rage.. but Vincent doesn't look so good. Even if he still smiles.

"And yet .. you fight to stay in this dream..." He comments. A bit weakly. "... In the end .. this world must be a dream." He says, speaking again, looking straight towards Korari, as he decides to add that last shot before she can get up, if possible.

"Because it would be far crueler than to face death ... if this world is really the one so many try to protect.. this world, these worlds.." He doesn't say another word, and just points the Luger towards Korari, firing off shot after shot after shot.. until the clip is completely empty.

"I don't cater to your needs.... nor will I. Whether you choose to listen or not.." That's up to him!

Vincent Volaju hits Korari Windsilver with his Gunplay - Maybe one of these shots won't bounce off your armor! attack.

The Elf rolls. Shots spang off her armor, graze off her arms. One of her spaulders outright falls off as she pulls herself up in the brief moment between reloads. Clutching the curved Warblade, she turns on him. The haze has worn off, and she does not look pleased. "...I ask only one thing of you." she states in an acidic tone. She approaches Vincent, green eyes gleaming in the shadows cast by the warring titans Zaku and Metal Wolf. They almost seem to glow.
The Warblade is raised, grasped in both hands. "...And that is for you to DIE." A rune expands around her feet, and unlike the others it remains. Burning, golden as the sun. Wings, larger then those before, expand from her back in a graceful furling motion. There is no halo. Just the rune, the wings, and the golden flame that engulfs her sword. Kicking off, Korari lunges forward, whipping the Warblade down and thrusting it towards the black-clad man's chest.
"MAY THE LIGHT PURGE YOUR TAINTED SOUL!"

Korari Windsilver hits Vincent Volaju with her ELF SMAAASH super.
Vincent Volaju has been knocked out!

"I might not have been elected by the people of France, but France is a close ally, and I'll be damned if I'll stand by and let somebody gas innocent people!" Metal Wolf marches heavily forward after Zabi now, its backpack expanding so that it can store its six-shooters in the rack once again before closing it up. Garma Zabi's thrown chunk of rubble crumbles against Metal Wolf's shielding, although another energy pod overheats and burns out, shutting down. Metal Wolf's shields are in bad shape now - below half strength. This is a critical situation for Michael Wilson, but the President never says die.

"You wanna know why I'm here today, buddy? It's because America stands for FREEDOM!" Michael Wilson punctuates his shout by closing the distance and swinging a right cross straight for the Zaku's head. "And JUSTICE!" Wilson throws a left jab, trying to press the offensive. "Those are ideals for all people around the world, and I'm going to stand for those ideals today. And the reason is..." Wilson boosts forward again, attempting to follow the one-two up with a high uppercut across the body of Garma Zabi's Zaku.

"BECAUSE I'M THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!"

You get a glancing blow on Hrist Valkyrie with your Catchphrase Combo jab.

And the Elf rises. An acidic tone states what he needs to know. But the smile stays. He's bleeding, incredibly weak.. and then finally, the warblade is raised. Both hands allow it to easily plunge into his chest. He wears no armor.

It goes deep enough in. More blood. And Vincent pulls the blade out of his chest, slowly. It's weaker than normal. It even gets to sit in him for a few seconds, this time, before he breathes in, then out.

"There is no light .. that will purge enough in this world... " He speaks. "In this dream.." Staggering backwards, the man in black is now a man in red. It looks bad. But he stands.

And then turns, staggering to an alley, leaning against the edge of the alleyway..

And then he slides into it.

If Korari goes to check .. he isn't there. Not even a drop of blood.

Okay, maybe a few.

Valkyrie tells Zabi,

But the effect is not instantaneous and so the Zaku takes somre more abuse. It manages to duck underneath the right cross, perhaps because Zabi thinks he's fighting for FREEDOM too. He even manages to block the jab for JUSTICE with his arm, because he had never had justice against his killer--but in the end, AMERICA is more than just JUSTICE and FREEDOM!

It's about inspiring speeches and fisticuffs! The Zaku takes one right to the chin and the strike pops the head off like one might expect in a Rockem Sockem Robot game!

As his mech falls backwards--he fades into light, and vanishes.

Vincent pulls the sword free and staggers off. For a moment, Korari is simply too winded to follow him, only watching with a scowl, leaning on her sword as the man wobbles out of sight. Steeling herself, she hefts her sword and stalks after him. Her wings fade, the glow disappears from the weapon's edge, but all she sees in the allyway is blood - And no terrorist.
After a moment's look, she sighs and raises her sword, producing a 'kerchief to wipe the crimson away before she slides it back into its scabbard.
"...Victory for the Sin'Dorei."

"YEAH!!" Michael Wilson shouts as the head goes popping right off the Zaku unit. You can almost see the red, white, and blue stripes streaming away from the impact of the punch.

That moment doesn't last so long, as Garma Zabi's spirit is called back, and the image of his machine seems to vanish into nothingness. "Huh?" Michael Wilson cranes his neck to look around, a movement mimicked by Metal Wolf, as Jody comes back on his radio. "He disappeared! I'd like to say you've 'exorcised a ghost' here today, Mister President, but I have a bad feeling about this." Metal Wolf's heavy mechanical head lowers downward, as Michael Wilson's voice grows serious. "I don't know who he was, or why he was after me, or where he went just now... but for some reason, I feel sorry for him."

The enormous mech then lifts its head, and turns around, stomping heavily down the cordoned-off battle zone to look down at the winded Blood Elf. Not that he has any idea who she is either. "Good fighting out here today. Thanks for the help... or maybe, thanks for letting me help out. It felt like you were on the terrorist more than I was out here today." The wind begins to pick up heavily, now, as Air Force One begins to come down into an incoming low flight, preparing to lower the extract cable to get the President out of there. Metal Wolf stands there for some time, silently, before one of its hands raises up and into a respectful salute.

As the giant metal man speaks to her, Korari turns her eyes up to it. She considers his words, and then nods once. "And thank you, Giant Metal Man. I do not think I could have handled that spirit myself." She raises her hand to return his salute. Once Air Force One makes off with the Metal Wolf, however, she recovers her Ranseur and places it across her back where it belongs.
"Now to get out of this city and back to Silvermoon..." Why do humans have to build cities with such insane road layouts. I mean, really.

Mundane Sector- Paris - Terrorist Fri Feb 29 The Associated Press
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"On Thursday night, in the Mundane Sector of Paris, France, the city was the site of a terrorist scare, which came from nowhere. No explanation beyond The cities Reputation could be an explanation." The news reporter stands in the middle of the square, where chunks of pavement, buildings, and cars are missing, ripped up, or torn to pieces.

"The terrorist seems to be the same one from before, also dealing with unknown chemical weaponry that has been unable to be found. While both a female warrior clad in heavy armor, whom some declared as a 'Paly', short for Paladin, and a large machine, piloted by a suspected terrorist as well, seemed to arrive to prevent it.. despite the loss of a life before hand, in which the terrorist shot and killed an elderly male." The camera pans. "Another Robot arrived as well, and fought against the first one, defending the terrorist. In the end, however, the bioterrorist was forced to retreat.. but not without heavy damage, however, caused from the mech and pilot who seem to have came to stop the first terrorist. "

"He was apparently forced to retreat, and the other machine seemingly vanished afterwards, and no large scale chemical attack was carried out. Also, it seems we have a break in the case.. some of the chemicals have been found and.." The sound of helicopter blades churn the air, as the camera pans upwards. Helicopters of the Mars Military, ( guess which zone ), fly above. The microphone is removed, and the camera, which was live feed, is covered.

Later, there's a response from the Mars Government how there were no such things. They were, however, important files which had been misplaced which the terrorist was after.

However, one might notice the Cherious Medical symbol, hard to see in the feed, on one of the Helicopters.

Operation: Paris Is for Lovers Fri Feb 29 Michael Wilson
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hello out there everyone! This is Jody Crawford, reporting in for President Michael Wilson, who extends his greetings and well wishes for the upcoming spring season. The following report was not an official Mithril contract, but in the interest of full disclosure, we're sharing the rundown. This operation was given the codename: Operation 'Paris Is for Lovers.'"

"This evening, a heinous bioterrorist, unidentified by name, attempted to unleash a horrible payload in the middle of Paris, France, ruining the spirit of lovers, dreamers, and artists the world over! An unidentified woman on foot joined the fray to help take this terrible man down before he could crush the poetic heart of Old Europe.

"The President deployed onto the scene as well, and assisted in the takedown, although he was diverted by the mysterious appearance of what seemed to be a ghost haunting Gay Paree! Although this ghost wasn't like any you read about in Halloween stories. At least, I don't remember ever hearing any scary stories about ghost powered suits making trouble. In the end, the terrorist attack was averted, the enemy unit was sent into retreat, and the President chalked up experience in the exorcism business! It's always good to have a fallback career for when your term is up.

"There were no hostages to rescue in this mission. Property damage inflicted amounts to one million, seven hundred and eighty-two thousand, three hundred and five US dollars - or in this case, one million, one hundred and seventy-four thousand, thirteen Euros. Taking a light hand this time, eh, Mister President?"
