WHO: Allen Walker, Pacifica Casull
WHEN: 08-09-07
WHERE: The Hub
WHAT: An exorcist returns to the Multiverse's Hub in order to find friends and continue his mission. Instead, he takes a moment to get reacquainted with everything. Pacifica offers her help.
The hub seems to be a fairly quiet place today. At least, quiet as far as the hub goes, bustling with people. Pacifica herself is seated on the edge of a fountain, peering off at various people as they go by, her expression a little more distracted than anything.
Among the travelers, a white-haired exorcist appears...lost. His eyelids flicker, the scar on his left side hidden by stray bangs as he looks upward. Allen breathes a sigh, setting down to rest and also look over some things, like maps. He got them from a vendor, apparently. And where he sits is right next to Pacifica, although well-spaced between them.
At first, Pacifica isn't really very aware that she's been joined at the fountain, mostly because she's got quite a bit on her mind, but after a moment her gaze wanders in Allen's direction. She looks at him for a moment, from his lost expression to the maps he's gotten. She quietly scoots over a little closer, peering towards the map. "You alright there?"
The exorcist blinks, his eyes widening. "Ah!" The maps crinkle in his grip as he looks back at her. "Um, well, sort of," Allen laughs weakly. He can't help it - it's been a while. "I suppose it just been some time since I've been around here." Timcampy settles on his shoulder lightly as he continues. "I hope I wasn't interrupting or anything," he adds. Interrupting what, exactly? Smooth.
"Oh, not at all!" Pacifica insists, looking a bit cheerful. "I was just thinking, though this is a lot more interesting than sitting around. Can I help you find anything? I'm pretty good at finding things around here now."
If only Allen had something simpler to look for besides Akuma and all that complicated stuff from his world. So he'll start with something else! "I was looking for some of my friends. Usually they wear similar costumes, like mine," he says with a smile. In fact, their costumes are awesome. "I haven't seen anyone lately..."
Oh. Pacifica does frown a little bit. Hunting down people is something she finds a lot of people wanting to do. "I'm sorry.. I'm not very good at that, and i'm not entirely sure that I've seen anyone dressed like that." She rubs the back of her neck.
"It's okay, then," Allen nods. "Even in this crowd, people are hard to find." It's not that bad a crowd, but it's a crowd nonetheless. Timcampy flutters his wings, its faceless front somehow staring blankly about the Hub.
Pacifica Casull gives a small nod, looking around a bit again. "Plus with all the gates, it's hard to say where anyone is. Or if they're even around here. They might by in any of the other worlds." She does look quite sorry not to be able to help. "If there's anything else I can do, though.. let me know. I'd like to be able to help."
Yeah, that's true, too. Too many gates...It makes one's head spin!
...No pun intended there. Really.
Allen smiles again at Pacifica. "It's fine, really. I'm sure I'll find them soon enough." He extends his right hand out to her. "The name is Allen Walker," he says.
The hand is taken, and Pacifica offers him another warm smile. "Pacifica Casull. It's very nice to meet you, Allen." She says, glancing back around. "I'm sure you'll find your friends soon."
"Thanks, Miss Pacifica," replies the exorcist with a hint of hope in his voice. "They tend to pop up unexpectedly, anyway. At least that's what I figure." Bowing his white head, he gets up from the spot on the fountain, stretching some. Allen glances back at the girl once more. "I guess I'll see you around, then?"
Miss Pacifica? That reminds her a lot of another boy who used to call her that. She smiles faintly. "Yes.. people do tend to pop up unexpectedly." Pacifica admits, looking back over to him. "Oh.. yes. You will, I'm sure."
Allen Walker smiles yet again as he ran a gloved hand through his bangs. "All right," he says softly with a nod, turning fluidly. He waves and starts making his way back into the crowd. His voice fades as he leaves, but still audible to her ears: "Until then, Miss Pacifica."
Pacifica Casull watches him quietly, a small smile on her face as she seems to be quite content. "Until then, Allen."

Note: Just getting Allen in again. Hope this doesn't mess up the earlier timeline or whatever. Gah.
