So, I realized that after my massive gut hit from what, like, last week? Something like that? I dunno, anyway, I realized that after that entry, I hadn't written anything positive in here in forever. So I would like to remedy that!
Sooo, um... huh. Doo-dee-doooo...
I shall do classic recap!
Work: Work is work. It's actually not so bad. I have a nice shiny new computer that works like THE FLASH. I'm still annoyed that my boss micromanages about stupid things and doesn't manage sometimes when she needs to, but overall, I am trying really hard to just be positive and enjoy the positive aspects of all my co-workers, while taking the negative in stride. It's working pretty well so far! I'm a little bored because I don't have QUITE enough to do some days of the week, but, that's something I'm sort of just gonna have to figure out as we go. Also, there is a videographer position at work that is strictly in North Carolina, so I won't be able to take it, but I need to remember to throw my resume in at some point so that I can at least put my name in the pool of possible video people. :D
Pendant: I finished GA 33 on Friday, as I had taken that day off and pretty much threw myself into mixing. That ep wound up being 41 minutes long, so I'm not surprised it took me so long to finish! Thankfully, 34 is going WAY faster, and will probably be shorter, as it's mainly a set-up episode to the crazy ride that will be GA35 and 36. Let's just say that the climatic scene of 33 actually has made me cry every time I've listened to it. I really think I accomplished what I set out to do. It makes me feel way less stressed about 34-36. Sooo... hopefully that confidence will keep me going! Also, I sent out CW49 a week ago, sooo, yeah. One left of my run and then I'm done with Catwoman, which is sort of terrifying but awesome. I'm excited to have more time to focus on Avalon and other projects, one hopes.
Writing:The non-Pendant writing is proceeding apace, and sort of took a unique turn! LOL. I'm working on my second Thor's Hammer book, then sort of stopped after the first initial burst of inspiration that yielded 10,000 words, and I'm cool with that. I'm not in a terrible rush, as I need to focus on editing the first one. More hilariously, though, is that I finally started watching Supernatural. And holy shit, that show is crack. I love every second of it! I really, really do. We're into 4th season and I've heard that's a season that either makes you love the show forever, or it pushes you away, so we'll see, but I'm pretty sure I'll be the former, not the latter. It has made me start writing fanfiction again, though. Prose fanfiction. It's been YEARS since I wrote a committed fanfiction. Sooooo, of course, this is the dorkiest thing ever.
But it's Supernatural/Smallville crossover fic. Dean/Chloe FOR THE WIN. I totally understand why it's become a huge fandom of its own, and the fans of that pairing are REALLY fun to write for and to interact with. I've quite loved writing my fic so far, especially since it also combines my love of all things Bathory. (I am SO ODD.) So, anyway, if you're on my F-list and haven't read it yet, or didn't know I was working on it and would like to read it, CHECK IT:
My Profile and the fic,
Mirrors and Dread, Red Needle and Thread. So, this has been fun, as it's given me a new outlet for my creativity to sort of get back up to snuff on my banter and prose writing.
Home: We're MOVING! Kris and I are moving apartments on May 12th, so we're about to start packing and such. It's exciting! Newer apartment, beautiful location, blissful parking situation. Can't wait.
So there! HAPPY ENTRY IS HAPPY. DAMMIT.
