It's in the works (Disney) and reportedly Johnny Depp will play Tonto. Tonto should be played by a Native American.

Yeah, but this Disney. The same people who completely trashed Pocahontas' history by turning John Smith's fabrication into a love story. *gags*

They'd have better luck with Kevin Costner.

i dont know what it is with hollywood but twilight didn't have a native american play Jacob Black either. the only native american i know of in the cast is the guy who played Billy. in a way it reminds me of when hollywood would hire mexicans to play native americans...

I don't understand it either, especially in this day and age where there are plenty of ethnic actors to play these roles.

It's disappointing.
