Yay!

Hubby and I went out today and I got a new desk. It's a corner desk. I've always wanted one so I can glance outside instead of constantly looking at my wall. It was on sale and we saved $50! WIN! I also got a new keyboard and mouse, both are wireless, which means I'll have to stock up on batteries - good thing I can put those in the recycle bin. ( Read more... )

Grats on the corner desk! Those can also be a nice space saver in addition to better window viewing. Batteries are naturally a concern when dealing with wireless input devices, but don't worry too much about them. You may be surprised how long you can go without changing them. I'd also recommend making sure you have wired spares as a just-in-case.

I'm nervous about Doctor Who, but I've decided I can wait the extra day for it to officially air here in the States. io9 had a fascinating article that ranked the Doctor's regenerations. It provided the backstory that lead up to each one and video clips, where applicable. My favorite line was "Basically, "Logopolis" is the 1981 version of a typical Russell T. Davies finale." But without the flash and fanfare that keep your eyes too busy to notice the lack of substance.

I do have some wired spares hidden away.

Well, I have to admit, even the WTF moments (and there were quite a few), I was pleasantly surprised. But then again, my expectations were very low. So I'm sure that has something to do with it. Still don't like Eleven.

I read the article and I do have to agree about "Logopolis".

Haha. Once you watch read my post - in particular the last statement under the cut.

I hope you are pleased. I was shocked at how much better then I expected. I could have and still could nitpick alot (and may yet) but I tried to take the good out of it because it was David's last episode.

I look forward to reading your thoughts.

Hee - I just posted my thoughts. And I'll go read yours.

I couldn't help but nitpick. ;)

It was better than I expected, but as I stated, it's mostly due to the fact that my expectations were pretty low to begin with.
