Good Parts in Tonight's Episode
-A few jump-out-of-my-seat startling moments.
-I liked the female characters. Porter was kind of wimpy but she made a good match for Carson. The sergeant's lipstick was yummy and I'm not even a lipstick gal.
-Paul (Carson) plays scared very well! I was afraid he was going to have a heart attack. The moment when the monster was coming at him upside down was creeeeeepy.
-When the sergeant miscounted, and the three team members had to take down a last monster: awesome.
gate_house-relevant awesomeness
tiggpwns pointed out that Major Ann Teldy was played by Christina Cox, who also played Annette (the cool dominatrix) in the House S1 episode "Love Hurts." w00t!
Not So Good Parts
-At the beginning, I had no clue where the team was from, so I wondered for several minutes if I was watching the wrong show. Then when Sheppard showed up, he was surprised to see an all-female team. If they're from Atlantis, they're under his command, so why would he be surprised? (see also below)
-"Oh noes, someone left their post" contrivance happened way too much.
-The fog seemed like a ploy to avoid having to spend on make-up/prosthetics.
-For having had other species' DNA spliced in, those monsters were very, very humanoid.
- And, last:
FISTBUMP OF SEXISM FOR THE LOSE. For the lose, gentlemen.
