This song is so cute.  Ah, back when children's television was actually educational.  I thought it was interesting of how this was indicative of how the show was originally directed at inner-city latch key kids who Henson felt weren't getting a decent eduction.  This song tells them what to expect when riding the subway and what to be careful of---very clever.
