My weekend
I had a very enjoyable weekend... Let me tell you all about it. First I graduated Friday morning... Graduation ceremony was soo long and boring... Oh man it sucked... I only went for my parents... Our speaker talked about Katrina... I just wanted to yell "We've heard this all before!!" Anyway, after the ceremony we went eat at the buffet at Casino Rouge... I was just trying to see if my parentals would give me some money to gamble with... Didn't work out as planned... food was ok...
After that I just chilled at my place until Melanie and friends were ready to depart to New Orleans. After we checked into our hotel we went to Southports to watch some live music. The first band was probably my favorite out of the whole weekend... The dude could sing and hit all these high notes and shit... We drank until our whole table was filled with beer bottles... Pretty frickin fun...
After we got back from there... I went to Harrahs... and got back in at 7:30 AM... Didnt really get much sleep that day... Went to Margaritaville for lunch... then went to the Abita Festival... Had all you can drink Abita and three bands... Dr. Gonzo, The Benji Davis Project, and Better Than Ezra... Dr. Gonzo sucked dick... Ben project was good... and BTE rocked it... After that went to Harrahs again with Joel... Didnt stay as late... about 330ish...
Sunday we went to go eat... but mel and joel were in moods... so the first place we went to didnt work out due to conflicts... to top it off... everyone got parking tickets because the no parking sign was hidden behind trees... we then went on some crazy loop de loop trip around N.O.... then ended up at some place that was closed down... so we ate at O' henrys while Mel and lindsay ate at a sushi place... then me, ben , mel, sara and rob went to southports again to watch more live music... all the bands were pretty damn good in my opinion... the list was Top Cats, Molly Ringwalds, 5 finger discount, Bag of Doughnuts, and contraband???... the last one wasnt that great... they didnt suck though... After that we went to eat at Popeyes... i love popeyes... then got back to BR and me and mel went to pluckers... Joel met up with us later... and then that was the end of my weekend...
It was pretty darn fun... I'd do it again.... I really enjoyed all of the music... we listend to 10 bands... 7 were cover bands and 3 were originals(all at the Abita party)... Had a lot of fun and spent a decent chunk of change... But thats why I work... I want to go on another weekend vaction somewhere! I really want to be rich so i could afford to do it... Wonder what it be like to be rich...
