what day is it today?

Brief update for you today.

We didn't finish recording the guitar parts, we have to go back next week to finish. Boo.

We had band practice today instead and wrote two new songs (it'd be nice to finish the first batch)

We still don't have a name.

I taught ben deaton the newest of my solo songs. (I've always wanted to go solo too robbie.)

in world news

the united states mens national soccer team beat mexico in scottsdale, arizona in front of 64,462 largely pro-mexican fans. since 2000, the us mens team is 8-2-1 against mexico (7-0-1 at home). This is certainly a good record, and the US is really beginning to establish itself in the concacaf as one of the top teams (behind the obvious brazil and argentina). however, what i find troubling is the inability of the americans to win on european soil. they haven't won a game in europe since the 1950's and it's baffling as to why. as great as the strides that have been made over the past 10 years, americans aren't going to get behind a quarterfinalist team, and while, if you ask a european, getting to the quarterfinals in the world cup is certainly no small accomplishment, i think the only way to really establish soccer in this country is at LEAST with a finals appearance. (sorry becks, george best AND pele tried this shit before and it didn't work for them. no offense, but you're no george best.)

hm. c'est fin.
