Went for a fitness assessment today (getting personal trainer to create a program for me, since I can't seem to kick start my own way back into routine work-outs after my shoulder eff-up last fall). Slept 2.5 hours last night (scariest exam was at 09h00 today), ate two (delicious, home-made) salad rolls 30min prior to my appointment -- less than optimal circumstances. Still quite pleased, I guess?
Unsurprisingly, the strength elements were less than they used to be: 13 push-ups versus the 20 to 25 I used to be able to do, 20ish metronome-regimented semi-curls versus... man, however many I used to be able to do (I used to do 3 to 4 different abs exercises in a program, so at least a few times that amount?). Grip strength is also pretty so-so. Hamstring flexibility isn't what it should be. Perfect scores on the more stable stuff: BMI, body fat, WHR, aerobic capacity (cardio), lumbar flexibility, wall sits (five minutes! five minutes of wall sit, baby! legs weren't happy with me afterwards but hey, whatevs). So there is a lot to work on, at any rate, and that's good 'cause I'm paying these people good money; it's nice to know they'll be earning it. :P
Blood pressure was a touch higher than I'd like it to be (122/77), but that might have just been the after-effects of freaking the hell out for, like, 24+ hours leading up to the exam I'd ended an hour earlier... and in spite of my apparent cardiovascular health, my resting heart rate is way higher than it should be (108!!! WTF, I'm not an INFANT).
