First and foremost, I had a kid!

Before I start my normal blogging routine I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who read my last (first) entry in 3 years (http://garyjr.livejournal.com/315450.html). All that positive reinforcement and happiness totally washed over me like barrells of sunshine on this rainy Tuesday in ( Read more... )

When you said there was more and happy things to come, I was thinking he BETTER tell us about the dog and post pics or I'm gonna be pissed. ;-) I was so excited when I heard you got a puppy. Everybody always thought I was a big dog person but I really wasn't. I was just really into MY dog. LOL. It's different when it's yours, and like you, I couldn't imagine my life without him and it was impossible to stay sad too long with him around to make me laugh every day. I sure do miss him. And oddly, losing him has turned me into one of those obnoxious people now who IS into everyone else's dogs now. I can't help but stop and and say hi to every dog I pass on the street. :-/

He's adorable and I can't decide which is the cutest, but I like the media room one. Cracks me up. :-)

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! Why don't you get another one? Or is it too soon?

I know if Cappy kicks it, I'm having him cloned. I have plenty of DNA to go on.

Thanks. I lost him on my last birthday - 13 years to the day from when I picked him out. Worst birthday ever. I'm afraid to get another though. He was the perfect dog (for me). You know how obsessed I was with him. We were like Timmy and Lassie and he went everywhere with me. Work, office, shopping, parties, restaurants with outdoor seating. I'm afraid if I got another dog I'd compare and since I don't feel like any dog could ever compare, that really wouldn't be fair to the new dog. Maybe I just need more time. We'll see.

It sounds like you need time. I got Cappy to replace the loss of my ex-fiance's dogs. And I quickly loved Cappy. How can you not love a new creature in your life? I say go for it? Would you actually feel like you wouldn't love him? I don't see that in you. You'd totally love any dog you cared for.

True, and he'd be spoiled rotten fer sher. :-) Bailey got me through some rough break-ups too. Don't know how I'd have survived without him. If I ever get in another relationship I'll probably get another dog just so I'm ready for the next terrible break-up. LOL

And based on your pic above with Cappy, how is it you haven't aged A DAY in 3 years?!?! I hate you. ;-)

I don't really age. I can't tell you why or I'd have to kill you (but you'd live forever). I posted some more photos in today's entry and no I really haven't aged. I hope I didn't jinx myself by acknowledging it.
