Chill out, dudes.
So the dub said some offensive things. I'm sure they'll realise that and not make comments like that so frequently. Funimation isn't 4Kids (I think), they don't go out of their way to change nearly everything to the point that the show is almost unrecognizable. The jokes may have been tasteless, yeah, but honestly. Don't like, don't watch.
"But I don't want the fandom misrepresented ! I don't want everyone thinking we're racists !"
Just present yourself well if it really bothers you that much. People will take notice of the fans more than the show. And anyway, the dub isn't making people dislike the show. If someone doesn't like it to begin with, no amount of explaining is going to change that.
The way I see it, the fandom is causing more drama than the dub. You're (collective you) just helping to draw more attention than it probably would have gotten to begin with. With all the bawwing, people are going to get curious and want to know more about it. First impressions are important, and if that were to be their first look at Hetalia, they'd just think we're a bunch of loonies that make racist/xenophobic/whathaveyou comments. And, you know, given the nature of the show, we are, sometimes. I'll admit that. But if we continue to complain and dwell on it too much, outsiders may begin to think we're like that all the time.
Basically, I'm saying, "Chill out and don't get so worked up over a cartoon. You're making us look bad."
