Why is it that Web Comic Artists all seem to use Live Journal?  I'm noticing that most of my online associate's activity has moved to Facebook, and the only folks that still post to LJ seem to be the authors of awesome online art.  (And a handful of LARPers, too...)  This is not necessarily a bad thing, or any such - I just find it odd that that is ( Read more... )

Arwengalen still posts sometimes, oh, and Ninjaslug (mostly about forgetting his phone) but yeah, otherwise everyone else I knew is gone from here.

I'm still here for the comms I joined, like Gymrats.

I think it's because comic discussion lends itself more easily to the LJ format. You can have an entry for each strip, with the associated discussion all in one place, and it's searchable. On Facebook, you end up with a messy unsearchable wall.

Also LJ is more fandom oriented, whereas Facebook is a general social networking site.
