[Appearance]
Dark skin, dark brown hair and dark grey eyes, Michiko is the typical flashy woman who is very proud of her body. She is very beautiful, sexy, tall and slender, and all this just adds to the fact that she has no shame to show her beauty around.
That said, she has long beautiful nails - even if she was in prison for so long, that didn’t got lost - a perfect long hair, even her feet are nice and her very large breasts seem to fit so perfectly.
On her stomach she has a tattoo of two feathers and below them the letters L.B.D.D. It’s not know why she has this tattoo, but it match’s Hatchin’s tattoo also on the stomach, and Hiroshi’s tattoo, on his arm.
“While you could certainly say that Michiko ought to be "fanservicey" enough to capture the male audience's attention, she really doesn't come off as your typical anime sexy chick... She's definitely a fashion pony, but it's one of the few cases where her skimpy outfits seem thoroughly a choice by the character rather than just something that's imposed by the designer. It might help that she isn't really a sexy/seductive type, but Michiko seems much more in control of her body and "right" in bikini tops and short-shorts than, say, Faye Valentine (who is one of the more tolerable bombshells to begin with).”

[Powers & Abilities]
I’d love to say that she has almost none, but while Michiko comes to us as someone who is completely reckless, who loves improvising, she shows to be very capable of backing up her rash personality. Not only with luck - which she has tons and sometimes none as well - but also physically.
Michiko is a top one fighter, and her style reminds Capoeira a lot, with mixes of obvious free-style. She loves kicking, but she also manages to hurt with her hands, and one of her best moves is “heel-to-the-crotch” or even “Crotch-to-the-face”. If she did learn Capoeira, nothing in canon tells us that, but due to the moves she pulls, and the fact that Capoeira is one of Brazil’s most known fighting arts, I do like to believe she did. Along with Capoeira, a dance - Samba de Roda - is taught, so Michiko knows how to dance. Besides, it’s a Samba country, pity you who doesn’t know how to Samba some.
Along with her fighting skills, she is capable of holding a gun and shooting it with great precision. Any gun, even automatic machine guns. But she doesn’t stay with just that, if she finds a knife nearby, she’ll use it any second.
To add to her list, she is able to drive a motorcycle and pull out the most amazing stunts you can think of, including jump of a building’s roof and jumping to the ground after, destroying bridges and jump right above your head when she wants to skip along. She is also a good car/truck driver, also pulling stunts, but it’s easy to see she works better on two wheels.
Amazing enough, she seems to discover her own abilities as things go; she fought a bull - she actually managed it pretty well - and she swordfighted with a guy.
And she runs like the wind.
And this isn't an ability, but Michiko not only is an awful artists, she gives grammatical mistakes like wah when writing.

[Background and key words]
Michiko’s anime happens with only 3 months, starts on 9th March and ends on 2nd June. It's little, but it sounds like a year.
But before we get into the anime story itself, let’s go check Michiko’s past.
She was born somewhere in Brazil, not known where, but she grew in a town called Vermelha; she was an orphan, and didn’t live in an exactly normal orphanage. She lived at the Casa de Amar Liliana, where they sold children. The lady that took care of the orphans was called Seria Bolsyos and little Michan always told her she was a greedy witch, who would get her ticket to hell one day and never believed that the children that were sold were actually in a good place. Seria was probably the first one to tell her “Won’t you try to trust me a little”, but at the time, 9 years old Michiko, could not understand those words.
With her, another child by the name of Atsuko Jackson stood near. But the hard personality of Michiko, even when she was 9, or when she turned 12, made probably poor Atsuko regret having met that cocoa skin girl. She was indeed hard and she hurt a lot, psychically. Atsuko was Michiko’s punching bag.
Even so, they grow as best friends and now older, Malandro claimed responsibility over the other orphans along with Atsuko, and they needed to bring presents. To do so, they’d steal shops, and that meant Atsuko would be used as bait, and while she was being beaten up the owner, Michiko stole the shop. Even with a little resent, the blond haired afro girl ended up forgiving her friend and give in to Michiko’s little charms.
Eventually she left the orphanage; not sure when, not sure why, but probably because she was too old. Now living alone in a small house at Vermelha’s favela (shanty town in Brazil), one day two men barged in looking for Sasha. Topless Michiko just stared at them, and when one of them gave her the shirt that covered his face - so she could dress -, she just walked towards him and hit him with her forehead on the nose. Scared, the second boy ran off, leaving his friend - Hiroshi Morenos - bleeding from the nose as the woman pointed a gun at him.
Even so, she just cleaned his blood and let him in.
Hiroshi explains he was attempting to rescue the members of his gang - Monstro Preto -, who had been going missing and he heard they had been captured by Fantasma (the rival gang). His plan was taking the girlfriend of Kiril Chapeck hostage (Sasha). Instead he found Michiko. The two talk, and the girl seems more and more drawn to the boy, enough to even offer him her help to talk to Kiril; yet Hiroshi didn’t even seem willing to do it, even if he said “I might die, but as long everyone else is rescued, then it was fine. It was something I decided to do by myself, so there was no choice but to do it alone”.
He didn’t go, neither did Michiko, at least not at that time. Still, the two started to get along, date. It’s not sure for how long, but it’s not really a long time, yet Michiko, possessive always told him “sweet Michiko will always be by your side”.
Truth to be told, the one killing Monstro Preto’s members was Satoshi Baptista, actually Hiroshi’s best friend; he wanted to kill all the top brass at Monstro and so take over the syndicate, as he blamed Fantasma for it.
In despair of the current happenings, Michiko comes to see Kiril Chapeck, gang leader of Fantasma, and demands him to return Monstro members. Even if he denies that he has anything to do with that and that he didn’t want to start a war with Monstro, Michiko attacks him and tells him a piece of her mind. Even if Michiko was set free after that, she went on a rampage trying to find about Monstro's member, destroying Fantasma's proprieties.
In order to stop this madness, Kiril decides to go talk to Michiko that night - who was getting drunk -, but instead he came directly to Satoshi Baptista; the perfect plan came to an end and now Satoshi killed Fantasma’s leader and hid his body.
That same night, after Hiroshi came to pick up a drunk Michiko from a bar belonging to her friend Evan, he tells her that he talked to Satoshi and he was going to leave Monstro Preto.
He doesn’t say everything, though; Satoshi was not happy to know Hiroshi was going to leave because of some girl, told him Kiril had gone missing and if he could find him, then he could leave the syndicate.
Next day Hiroshi left Michiko without even saying goodbye because he was hoping to return soon. Yet he didn’t, of course, because Kiril was no where to be found.
While he was away, now the new boss of Monstro, Satoshi Baptista, framed Michiko, blaming her for Kiril’s death (his body showed up later on) and for destroying numerous properties related to the criminal syndicate, Fantasma. She was arrested by her own best friend, Atsuko Jackson, who had enrolled in the Police force and got her promotion from catching Michiko.
No matter what, though, Malandro lived up to her name, and showed no care what so ever for what Atsuko told her, and immediately tried to escape after she got incarcerated on Diamandra prison - maximum security prison, thought to be inescapable. Completely isolated from society, like an island, it housed hardened criminals incapable of rehabilitation.
After her third time trying to break free, Michiko hears that the bus Hiroshi Morenos was on exploded and so, he died. Heart broken, she gave up on everything.
Perhaps because she missed old Michiko, perhaps because it hurt her so badly, two years after Hiroshi’s death Astuko came to visit her friend and showed her a picture of a baby named “Hana” and who had a tattoo on her stomach.
This was the proof Michiko needed: Hiroshi was alive. 11 years after being arrested, 9 years after seeing Hana’s picture, Michiko escapes Diamandra for good.
From this point, we are capable of keeping a good chronological record.

Not recognizing Hana at first, Michiko looks around for a familiar face, and while this happens Father Pedro shoots around with his shotgun - Michiko doesn’t even seem to realize she is being shot at.
Finally she takes Hana, but during her trip the gasoline burns out. Forced to push her bike all the way under the sun, when the two - Hana and Michiko - finally take a break, Malandro tells the girl about her real father, Hiroshi Morenos. "Good-looking, great guy, kind and cool, and Michiko fell for him right away".
The woman seems set on finding Hiroshi, and so she decided to pick Hana up, asking where he was. After listening to Michiko’s story, Hana refuses to cooperate, saying that if Hiroshi was dead, how they would find him. Michiko explains that Hiroshi had died 11 years ago on a bus explosion, and Hana is 9. Even if she got confused in the middle of it,Michiko actually got it right: for Hana to be born, Hiroshi HAD to be alive.

Location: 3 hour walk far from Ladrão
They stop over a gasoline post, but unfortunately there is no gasoline for her bike. In anger, Michiko strikes on a drinks machine and grabs two drinks she didn’t even pay for.
Hana doesn’t seem pleased at all with Michiko’s violent and vandalism acts; trying to convince the girl to give in, she calls her “Hatchin”.

Location: Ladrão’s market
The two have lunch together; Michiko is lost with her thoughts, looking at Hana and remembering Hiroshi’s features - leaving Hatchin extremely awkward. Yet she openly says she doesn’t like the nose or the jawline.
Seeing that things aren’t going anywhere, Hana tries to convince the woman she got the wrong person.
Michiko shows Hana her baby picture "this child saved her, looking at her every day, there was no way she'd make a mistake” so she was sure it was her. Still suspicious, Hana asks her what if she had no tattoo, and immediately Michiko said she would leave her because she has no time to drag someone else's kid around.
Unfortunately things don’t go easy for the two. Now accused of kidnapping Hana, Michiko has to run for it once more, along with the child, but not before she says that she swore she'd do whatever it took to protect Hatchin.
The police surround them: it’s Atsuko Jackson, who Michiko addresses as Jambo (a type of flower that reminds her of Atsuko’s afro). The two exchange teasing words at each other like two children, and then Father Pedro also comes (and Michiko didn’t even recognize him), but seeing Hana so scared, she tells her "I trust you, so why don't you try to trust me too?".
In order to escape the police, this time Michiko gets closer to Atsuko, bites her ear, steals the policewoman’s gun points it at her friend’s head. That way she is able to run off with Hana. As they try to escape, Michiko destroys half of the city, but also loses Hana in the middle of her race.
Actually, Hana is chased by father Pedro, who wants to kill her so he can get the insurance money from her death, but before anything could happen, Michiko comes out of no where and saves her - kicking Father Pedro off a building.
When leaving, Hatchin admits to Michiko that she lied to her - about the tattoo and that she had it - and Michiko says "I told you, I trust you".

19th March
Location: S. Cabal
An old woman - calling herself Messenger from God - convinces Michiko to buy a stone saying it'd protect her, along with a tea made of dirt from under the God's fingernail. The woman tells them their future - there is a man, a portrait, they will be together and have kids; as for Hana, she must be careful of those who run, she can't climb the mountain or she will she be shot, and die. Michiko believes it all, while Hana refuses to take the small stone Michiko bought to protect the girl.
Having stepped on dog poo, Hana is now at the hotel washing her shoes, leaving them to dry by the window, after, while Michiko is out to look for Hiroshi (because she had a “feeling” and according to her it was the “tea taking effect”). Malandro comes later at night, showing Hana a portrait she commissioned from a street artist: it’s Hiroshi. She also got Hatchin new shoes, but soon enough the girl realizes those new shoes - and all her clothes as a matter of fact - were stolen. Michiko complains it wasn’t her fault “the shop owner offered them to me! He gave them to me to try on, and..." she run off.

20th March
Location: S. Cabal
Hana wakes up and notices that her shoes were stolen, which forced her to use the ones Michiko stole. Not happy with that outcome, she starts working at a Chinese restaurant to pay for the shoes.
Meantime, Michiko looks around for Hiroshi with the drawing she had of him, and seeing she had no idea where Hatchin was either, she decided to draw by herself a picture of the girl - a really bad one, actually.
After a frustrated day looking for both, she returns back to the hotel, only to find Hatchin sleeping.

21st March
Location: S. Cabal
Hana cuts her hair and decides to get stronger for her job, while Michiko finally gets a lead: an old man tells her he saw someone like him over the Favela, and so happy, the woman kisses his forehead calling him a “really nice guy”. Obviously she comes back to the hotel to change clothes and get ready to meet her beloved Hiroshi.
Hana meanwhile chases after some kids who had food and ran off without paying; she heads for the favela as well, noticing that it was like a mountain, and the old woman’s words come to her; she came to realize the old woman was right, because that moment, a gang - the kids who dine and dashed were part of it - started to chase Hana with guns.
Before anything dangerous happens, Michiko comes in her bike, almost running her over. The two fight for a bit (Michiko complains that Hana never stays put like she told her to) and the boss of the gang that was chasing after Hana - actually just a kid -, not liking to be ignored, calls Michiko “Old Hag”. Pissed out of her mind, Michiko slaps him and with her high heel steps on his hand several times until he calls her “Miss”.
No longer in danger, the two go meet Hiroshi, but it ends up not being him; angry that nothing of the old woman said came true, she blames her and leaves the favela - even though it DID come true, at least for Hatchin.
Depressed, Michiko goes to a strip club to drink that night - Rumba - where a stripper called Pepe Lima dances there. Annoyed by the noise and dancing, Michiko throws a tantrum, complaining about Pepe’s fake breasts, and ending up throwing Hiroshi's drawing at the stripper.
At the end of the night, Pepe Lima bullies the drunken Michiko.

22nd March
Location: S. Cabal
During her hang-over, eating at the restaurant Hatchin worked, the two talk about Hiroshi’s possible acquaintances; that’s the first time Michiko mentions Satoshi Baptista. Before anything was decided, several kids from yesterday’s gang enter the restaurant and point a gun at Michiko, who doesn’t even seem to care, easily agreeing on going.
She goes meet Rico, the leader of Favela, who wants some compensation of her hurting his boy’s on the hand the other day. Malandro says she doesn't know the brat and doesn't remember him and so Rico points a gun at her (that again made no effect what so ever over Michiko). Actually Rico doesn’t shoot, and asks either for money either for “physical labour”.
Pepe Lima, the stripper, was there and immediately threw a tantrum when he heard that Rico was interested on replacing her by some other woman. To avoid problems, Rico only asks for money and to avoid further annoyance and headache Michiko agrees. Outside Rico’s house, Hana was waiting, worried, with a butcher knife on her hand.
When leaving the favela, Pepe Lima almost runs over Michiko with a car and that’s when Hatchin mentions Pepe looks a lot like Michiko.

23rd March
Location: S. Cabal
Pepe Lima comes visit the restaurant Hatchin works at. She has the drawing Michiko threw at her the other night and so she pretends to know about Hiroshi Morenos. To spice things up, she invites Hatchin to come to her party, the next day, over Rumba, along with Michiko.
Even if obviously it was a lie, and Pepe didn’t know Hiroshi at all, even if Hana tells Michiko about it, the woman gets angry and decides to go because no matter what, she wants to know how some low class stripper knows about her man.

24th March
Location: S. Cabal
Michiko goes to meet Pepe who tells her about her life; that’s when Michiko says she and the stripper are not even close to alike because Michiko "trusts people, even more her friends" and because Pepe blamed everything that happened to her on others.
Only after a drinking match - that Malandro won - Pepe tells her about some Hiroshi she had met making the angry dark skinned woman leave, dragging Hana along; but actually it was all a distraction because while they were talking and drinking, Pepe’s sister - Lulu - went to their room and stole their bag with clothes and some money.
Pepe and Lulu were hoping to find some ID’s to use and go to S.Paraíso, but obviously Michiko had none. On a desperate move, the stripper steals from her own boss, Rico.

25th March
Location: S. Cabal
Lulu ends up being caught by Rico’s men, and desperate Pepe goes to Michiko’s place.
Pepe blames Michiko for not having and ID in first place and so she tries to force Michiko to go with her to Rico's place, but Michiko refuses.
"that doesn't fucking concern me. Quit blaming others" it was Michiko’s words.
Then Pepe begs because she is afraid. Michiko still says no. Pepe says she thought she could trust Michiko but quickly adds that she knows who Michiko is and she could easily call the cops, using a threat to get the other woman to cooperate. The convict shows no conceder for that threat and finally explains herself that she couldn’t do it, else who’d protect Hatchin if she got herself killed.
When Pepe leaves, angry Michiko breaks the room, due to her impotency towards the society she faces.
Pepe is shot down.

27th march
Location: Vermelha, the bulls fighting city.
At night she visits her friend, Evan, and his bar, showing Hatchin to him.
Alone with him now, the two talk: Michiko wants to see Satoshi Baptista. Evan explains her that Monstro is now a well-established criminal syndicate and that Satoshi is their leader, but even still, Vermelha is controlled by Fantasma members controlled by Monstro and who want to get Michiko to avenge their leader.
They actually fight, and hurt, Evan says he doesn’t want to see Michiko’s face anymore.
Michiko and Hatchin now visits her old home, finding some old pictures: one of Hiroshi and Baptista as kids, other of Michiko and Hiroshi.
Even if she tried to sound angry for Hatchin to nuzzle around on her stuff, all she could do was to show her a sad and lonely expression, as she remembered her old days.

28th March
Location: Vermelha
The couple walked to Casa de Amar Liliana, Michiko’s old orphanage, and the older woman gives the child a - badly written - letter and a picture of her and she decided to leave Hana there while she went to find Satoshi. After she'd come to collect Hatchin.
But things don’t go so easily, refusing to leave Michiko behind, after the tanned woman screamed at her she’d only get in the way - actually regretting those words after - Hana tries to hit Michiko, who slaps her for not listening.
"don't you believe me? don't you trust me?" "no" with those last words, they part ways. All this was spotted by a member of Fantasma, who tells Vasili, the current boss and who once was Kiril’s right hand.
Seria doesn't accept Hana in because she has no money; humiliated, Hatchin turns towards Michiko’s house to wait there for her and scream at the fact that Michiko didn’t take care of her, even if she promised. Unfortunately that night, before Malandro comes back, Fantasma men go to Michiko's place and find Hana, drugging her and kidnapping her. They leave a note in graffiti so when Michiko arrives and learns what happened, she ran to meet Seria. After fighting even with her, Seira asks why Michiko left Hatchin with her and the woman says that once Seria said "Won't you trust me" and explains that as she grew, she understood that the emotion behind people who say things like that is genuine. Thought she was fooled. Again.
Michiko goes meet Evan again, and explains that Fantasma kidnapped Hatchin. he also has no idea where fantasma was. He suggests her to go after Vasili in two days day, during the bullfights because those are controlled by the Fantasma.
Vasili tells Satoshi that Michiko is in town.

30th March
Location: Vermelha
During the bull match, Evan and his brother help Michiko to go inside the arena. Obviously she makes a loud entrance, kicking around, and ends up having to actually fight the bull, after knocking out the bullfighter and took his place. During the fight, they also give her a sword to help and even with all this going on, she still manages to escape the shooting at her from the Fantasma snipers.
Hana, meantime escapes her kidnappers and sees Michiko over the arena, running towards her and entering the arena as well. Of course the older woman is too busy to even notice this, and as second she spots Vasili over the audience, she rushes towards him with the sword on her hand - the both end up sword fighting.
Michiko wins, but suddenly sees Hatchin over the arena, having to save her “Tarzan Style”.

Meantime, Michiko goes look for a salon to trim her hair. And finds one that belonged to Anastacia and Bruno, Bruno being the man she has seen the other day. Awkwardly, she hears Anastacia mentioning her husband Bruno, but even if he was married, the man still left Michiko a note, asking her to meet him tomorrow, by her room, at 1:00pm.
Hana tells Michiko about her day and how some kids stole the money, but Malandro was too dreamy to even listen to her, and when finally finds out that the money for the shampoo and Hana’s shoes were gone, Michiko childishly accuses her of lying.
Hana gets angrier and starts crying.

Anastacia comes to Michiko's room to give Hatchin new shoes - since Hana never got to buy new ones - and notices Bruno's cigars. Now the hairdresser gets angry and she says Michiko is just like a fish for a fisherman like Bruno: she’ll get caught in his net and soon as she does, she will no longer interest him.

When she returns to the hotel and Michiko finds her, immediately the woman moves to strike the girl once more, who explains herself before the slap came.
Over their room, hana complains that all they do is fighting, after she tells Michiko that Satoshi was over the hotel "Estrela". Hana also mentions it'd be better if they went apart but Michiko says no, because she made promise.

At the reception, still trying to get rid of the fake “Satoshi”, suddenly one of the men in the group is shot dead: the real Monstro Preto didn’t like the fact someone was using their name and had now surrounded the hotel “Estrela”.
They call the hotel reception and Michiko picks up the phone, recognizing the voice: "Shinsuke Rodriguez", Satoshi’s right hand. She tells him she wants to meet Satoshi, but the sadistic man has another idea: a game. They have to get on several trains and reach the meeting point at the right time, else they'd get shot. Before she goes she leaves Hatchin a small note saying "A promise is a promise. I’ll be back later". Angry that once again Michiko left her, Hana leaves the hotel.
Only the fake Satoshi survives at the end of the game along with Michiko, who now meet Shinsuke face to face. Unfortunately the fake Satoshi did get killed.
Shinsuke captures Michiko and warns Satoshi, who is over the city Terra; the plan was to send the woman there, but after beating her up, Shinsuke puts a gun on her clothes so she’d kill Satoshi.
Satoshi meantime calls Atsuko, so she could give him money in exchange for Michiko.
Michiko arrives to Terra and meets Satoshi, where now she asks him where Hiroshi is, even if Satoshi keeps beating her up; to add to the fun, he also explains her what really happened 12 years ago and how he planned it all.

Actually the circus works as a place to kidnap children and sell them off. A Lady called Madam Michiko Menezes lures those children using the excuse they are going to a theme park, along with her partner Nuno.
Michiko Malandro arrives at night, when it's raining and both her and Hana talk; “I’m here” was how it started and not happy with it she tells her to take off the glasses. When she does so, Hana noticed Michiko’s face hurt, asking if she got into other bully fight once more, and refuses to listen to the actual explanation. She says she is not going with Michiko, that she met another Michiko, but this one was much nicer to her. The conversation ends when Michiko simply shows no care for Hana, and angry, the child screams that she hates her. Now pissed as well, Michiko shoves her and says for Hana to return to her beloved Michiko; possibly the child was hoping for the other to say sorry and to gently ask her back, but since it didn’t happen, Hana turned around and left Malandro there, who calls herself an idiot.
That night, madam Michiko and Nuno take the children and put them on a balloon, but Hana realizes they are going to sell the kids and helps them to escape; Michiko too, now after the balloon and even being shot twice by sleeping darts didn’t affect her.
She climbed the balloon’s basket, caught Hatchin and screamed "I'm your one and only Michiko, remember that!" and then throws her off the balloon - and she ends up falling, while Michiko laughs at her.
After being attacked by Madam Michiko, now Michiko stays only holding on to a rope, finally giving in due to the sleeping darts. Hana comes to her rescue, knocking out Madam Michiko and Nuno, and holding Michiko’s hands so she wouldn’t call off the balloon. At first she refuses to let her go, but as she fell asleep, Michiko tells her there was water under them so they could let go and it’d be okay somehow; promising not to let her go, Hana hugged the older woman and both fell on the ocean.

Later that day, they reach Eternidade. That’s also when Michiko collapses down with fever.

29th April
Location: Eternidade
Hana has been taking care of Michiko, even if the woman childishly refuses any actual help. Without any ID they can't go to a good hospital, so she takes her to a strange clinic, Milagre Galaxia, that performs "physic surgery, without the use of a scalpel, he claims to be able to extract infections from the body". It’s really only a magic trick, but Hana and Michiko believe him when he takes a fish out of Michiko’s belly.
Hana soon finds out there are "Options are extra" and the consult costs much more than she agreed, with no money to pay, she now has to work.

30th April
Location: Eternidade
While Hana worries and works, Michiko is smoking and drinkinking, and obviously not getting better. During this, she sees over a newspaper a photo of Hiroshi - by the name of Rock Morena -, holding a new recent breed of tomatoes he created along with a woman called Elis Michaela.
Angry for seeing another woman near her man, Michiko bursts in anger and faints. It doesn’t help that when she wakes up she is still hallucinating, now blaming the doctor for putting a curse on her.
When Hatchin returns from her job, a lady tells her about Milagre Galaxia and how it doesn't make any good for Michiko and her too gets angry, grabs a steel pipe and runs over to the Milagre Galaxia to hurt the doctor.
It was too late, though, because Michiko was already doing so, punching and kicking the doctor, demanding him to lift her curse. When the sick woman sees the child, she believes it was also Hana’s fault and rushes to hit her, but faints before that.

7th May
Satoshi hires a murder (Gyre, who never used more than one shot) to kill Shinsuke and other to kill Michiko (Murano).

9th May
Location: Arónpolis
Michiko passes by Gyre, being chased by the police; Gyre, who was going to Mãn to kill Shinsuke, recognized her and decides to be the one chasing after her.
After losing the cops, Michiko's bike breaks down again. This time is the motor so they have to spend the night over a motel. When Michiko is out to buy cigars, Gyre points a gun at her (showing no fear, even Gyre seems surprised) and even more interested, he leaves the gun with her and bullets at the reception.

10th May
Location: Arónopolis
Michiko takes the bike to a mechanic who says the engine is dead and the only way to make the bike work again is to go to his son’s store over the next town, Colpo. He gives her his car, and Hatchin stays behind to massage the man's back, a deal Michiko did with him without Hana's consent.
Gyre ends up chasing her after a car too. They have an epic chase involving lots of shooting and teasing from each other, and Gyre mentioning that this was love at first sign. Suddenly Murano joins the party, attacking Michiko's car and forcing her to crash. With Gyre’s help, she manages to escape - this because she didn’t get hurt even after Gyre had shot at her so many times.

13th May

Again, their bike broke down again.

14th May
Location: Colheita Peninsula
Michiko finds someone selling Monster Tomatoes; the salesman says they can only be found in Planicie Colheita, their next destiny.
During their stay, Hana gets a small crush on a local guy, Lenine.
At night Michiko announces they are going to leave next day, so Hana shouldn't be so miserable about leaving her crush. Angry Hatchin makes a fuss about it, and Michiko teases her the worse way possible "You're all excited because it’s the first time a guy's flirted with you". Hana screams at her that all she thinks about are men and she’d never be like Michiko - that got her another slap.

15th May
Location: Colheita Peninsula
Lenine and Hana say goodbye (there is so much more to it, but doesn’t directly interfere with Michiko) and sad, Hana cries in Michik’s arms as she holds her.

18th May
Location: Planicie Colheita
Michiko is over a shop getting all pampered up to see Hiroshi; even if Hana keeps telling her it’s probably not him - since the name on the picture was Rock Morena - Michiko says she would recognize Hiroshi a mile away.
Michiko goes to the place where the monster tomatoes are produced; as usual, she basically shoves her way in, kicking everyone on her way. She is eventually caught ad borught to the president’s room, the woman she saw with Hiroshi on the picture - Elis Michaela. Hana is there too, actually, and all she has to do was to explain to Elis what was happening.
In a jealousy fit, Michiko and the woman fight - more Michiko fights her, because Elis only mocks her. She soon learns that Elis and Hiroshi did have sex and were seeing each other. Before much more was revealed, Elis suddenly kisses Michiko "you wanted me to return his kiss, right?” was Elis excuse.
Even if Hiroshi ran away again because Michiko was after him, even if him and Elis were together before, Malandro isn’t defeated. She says that Hiroshi wants her to say "I forgive you" since he is such a spoiled man. No matter what Michiko said that she doesn't give a damn about what the other woman thought of her
Suddenly there is a warning: Atsuko Jackson is there and that's when Elis admits where Hiroshi is - S. Paraiso - and helps Hana and Michiko to escape.
At the end of the day, Elis also admits to Atsuko that they were gone to S. Paraiso.

21st May
Location: Seentwan
In order to enter San Paraiso, Michiko and Hatchin need fake ID's that are sold over.
The man who takes them an individual picture for each ID, also accepts to take a picture of the two together that now each will hold on to.
As Hana gets back to the hotel, Michiko goes get the ID’s but unfortunately some Chinese man - from the same gang - stole her money. Since she has no money to pay for them, she tries to steal them and kick her way out, but soon is caught.

22nd May
Location: Seentwan
Since Michiko hasn't been back, Hana goes look for her but gets lost; a man called Mei - a singer actually - helps her and takes her to his place while he will search for Michiko. Mei soon contacts the boss and asks him to release her.
The boss says he'll release her on the base of a simple test of luck "rock paper and scissor" between Michiko and one of his men, but she never makes it easy. Once her hands are free, she simply starts to punch around.
Things got more difficult then, and Mei now decides to help directly. On a test of courage and luck, Mei would use a blindfold and run towards the end of the building. A rope was tied around him and other around Michiko, and if he happened to fall down, so would she.
He does fall, but Michiko is able to hold him first with her own body and later on she actually holds him with her teeth. In the end Michiko gets free, so does Mei and she even gets the fake ID's.
Mei and Michiko return and as usual she screams at Hatchin for not waiting where she was supposed to, but Hatchin just hugs her and asks for forgiveness.

25th May
Location: S. Paraiso - during the celebration of Millennium Samba in its streets.
They both try to enter S. Paraiso with their fake ID’s, but those don’t work, and as usual they just have to kick their way in to the town.
The first night they sleep outside by the sound of music from the Carnaval that she calls a "bunch of idiotic rich kids making a racket" though seems to be a bit moody since she has no idea how to actually find Hiroshoi.

26th May
Location: S. Paraiso
Even without any leads on where to look, Michiko says it’ll be okay because Hiroshi has talent; he went there to find money, so he is probably very popular by now. During this speech, some guy started followed the couple, and of course Michiko just throws her wallet at him and runs to kick his ass.
He says that Hana looks a lot like "Rock Morena" and the man shows her where Hiroshi slept; he also told her that they worked together for a while - as thieves - but he escaped after taking even his partner's money with him.
Michiko asks if Hiroshi ever mentioned her, but the man tells her he never mentioned Michiko once. He did, however mentioned that he was part of Monstro, grew giant tomatoes and was scouted for a drama TV show, and immediately Michiko said that all of that was true, but he just never got into the drama because of Michiko.
That naivety from Michiko’s part only made the man laugh at her, and soon she begins to realize that maybe he was right, maybe Hiroshi was really only running away from her. Now depressed, Michiko doesn’t move from Hiroshi’s room.
In order to make Michiko smile again, Hana looked for a drama actor and made him call Michiko saying that he knew Hiroshi and that the whole drama scout was true; he even added that Hiroshi simply didn’t do it because "the most beautiful of women", Michiko. Even if it was a lie, with a smile on her lips, Michiko enjoyed the carnaval parade passing by her window.
At the end of the day, the man who worked with Hiroshi before got a letter from Goinia with the money Hiroshi stole.

29th May
Michiko and Hatchin are now on a cargo train, trying to reach Goinia;
Satoshi Baptista also takes the same train and Atsuko does too.
Atsuko comes to Michiko’s carriage and points a gun at her friend saying that a car will be picking her up at 8pm; she gives Michiko a fake ID and tells her to leave the country and do as she pleases and that she'll take care of Hatchin. During all of this, Michiko continuously refuses this idea.
Jambo says that Michiko is scared that Hiroshi will make her cry again. She also says that the things aren't going to work out between the two, because Hiroshi had obviously chosen a different path.
After all, Atsuko is the one who understands Michiko the most and knows whenever someone betrays her, she falls apart. Michiko replies that exactly for that reason she HAS to find Hiroshi.
Shinsuke men decide to make the train get off its trail in order to kill Satoshi, so they put a car on the tracks. During the whole wreckage, Hana is kidnapped by Satoshi - who steals Michiko’s bike too.
Even after running after the two, Michiko ends up stopping. She tells Atsuko she will be happy this time, and Astuko throws her a gun, but before that the two fight.
The two turn their back on each other and now finally, they broke their friendship.
Michiko runs after Hatchin and Atsuko stays behind, crying.

30th May
Michiko gets a car and goes to chasing after Hana and Satoshi towards Goinia, breaking through police blockages on the roads and not stopping ever.

Location: Casa Vento
Before going to Goinia, Satoshi and Hana stop here for the night. Shinsuke and his men attack Satoshi, but he's able to kill all of them, including his old friend and right hand.

31st May
Michiko reaches Goinia and in an attempt to escape the police, she throws herself and the car to a river.

2dn June
Location: Goinia
Hiding herself from the cops, Michiko waits for Hana and Satoshi to arrive. Showing the photo of her and Hatchin, she has been asking around the town and finally, that day, an old man tells her she indeed seen her along with a man.
No longer needing to keep low profile, again she gets in confronts with the police and ends up having to hide on an amusement park taking 3 hostages; she manages to escape, but a policeman shoots down one of the hostages and immediately the sergeant of the police says no one will ever find out and blames it on Michiko.
Satoshi goes visit the favela leader of Goinia who tells him Hiroshi has a huge debt to pay and so he's also looking for him. The gang tries to take Satoshi, but Monstro Leader quickly took care of them.
By mere luck, Hatchin manages to escape Satoshi, who goes after her, but unfortunately he forgot that favela leaders don’t like being bossed around; taking their chance, they shoot Satoshi dead.
Meantime, Michiko finds Hana finally, but soon they are surrounded by policemen; the sergeant’s idea was to kill Michiko and Hana saying that they confronted the police and ended up getting killed, but luckily she manages to escape… not for much longer, though.
Atsuko’s partner shows up and arrests Michiko.
That’s most likely when Michiko and Atsuko talked for real and Michiko explained exactly what would happen and why she was doing all of this. It was never Michiko’s idea to actually stay with Hiroshi and Hana, all she wanted was to bring the little girl to him. That meant, after she finally found Hiroshi, she’d turn herself in to Atsuko.
For this, Atsuko releases Michiko and allows her to go meet Hiroshi at Goinia’s train station. After, the three go to an aerodrome.

3rd June
Michiko cooks while they wait to leave, and finally Hana realizes Michiko's idea. "I don't need him", but Michiko actually thinks he is the one who needs her. The woman and the child make a promise of seeing each other once everything was resolved, but until then they had to say goodbye.
The three depart and Michiko goes back to jail.

[Personality]
Michiko, during the 26 episodes, shows us the different facets of her personality, but above all, she shows us how much she grown through all of the anime, and she is, far from whatever she may show, a genuine person and a real true human.
In each episode we are probably capable of seeing yet another side of Michiko that she hasn’t shown so far and that makes her so dynamic and unpredictable that it’s even hard for us to keep up.

From early age we can see her kindness hidden by those nasty words she always screamed, and we can see how much she actually cares; wanting to steal money from Seira when she heard her friend had been sold, taking care of the children in the orphanage and getting them presents, the care she shows for Hiroshi from the day one even if he pointed a gun at her, Michiko is a true human being fighting on the warzone that was the world she lived in and could not escape.

From the beginning of the series she strikes us as someone who’s reckless and only worries about herself. She seems to even be using Hatchin as bait to get  in contact with Hiroshi, an excuse to see her long lost lover. Perhaps she even seems silly and stupid for being so obsessed with that person for over 11 years. But it’s only at the end we understand how actually it went; Michiko never cared for what others thought of it, she never cared for what the viewer thought of her, and so she looked like an idiotic woman with nothing on her brain but Hiroshi.
At the end, she leaves them [Hana and Hiroshi] and tells Hiroshi “As long you stay with her, you will find happiness”. Yes, she did care for Hiroshi, but actually, she wasn’t using Hatchin as bait. She was using Hiroshi as an excuse for Hana to find her father and live happily like once she and Hiroshi had been, and to somehow protect that child so later on they could meet again. She had no plans from the beginning to leave with them, even if her cloudy mind always made her dream; Michiko knew what her objective from the beginning was when she promised she’d protect that baby who saved her during all those years in prison, and she’d fulfil it.
With this, we can say that she plans and she is more down to earth, and she’ll do everything to reach her objectives. Stubbornly she won’t let go until she finally gets what she wants, and usually that actually means something good for someone else.
She is caring, in her own strange way; her care may hurt, and Jambo would really back that up, but she is kind to the ones she loves, and she trusts them with all her heart.

Having been born in the slumbers of a favela in Brazil, Michiko had to learn to keep up her pace. Guns, drugs, death, children selling their own bodies and organs, children killing children, adults killing children, gangs and so much more, she grew fearless and ready to face anything. This lack of fear collides with her incredible capability of pulling stunts out of no where, even when she doesn’t know exactly how she managed it. All of this made her fearless, but reckless as well, and reckless also made her quiet feisty.  Noisy, angry, nasty, Michiko tends to use an impolite speech towards people in general and can even make pretty nasty sarcasms and points out what you don’t want to hear. She has no holding back on her tongue… nor her shame.

More than a beautiful human inside, Michiko is a freaking hot woman outside and she knows it. She is even willing to let it show, yet she will act a bit slack about it; truthfully, she does not follow trends and she does not try to look nice for you. The clothes she uses are for herself, how she likes to wear and how good she feels with it, no matter when and no matter where. She lacks elegance but at the same time she has a tiger style that makes up for it, making her look great no matter what she chooses to wear, even if it’s a Bull Fighter suit.

Thing is, Michiko here is not perfect. Actually, she is very imperfect in many aspects and not just her recklessness that some times may come in hand. True, when she is reckless she usually tends to get herself in a lot of troubles that one could easily avoid; even if she has an objective set, she just forgets to look around to make sure things are going okay. She lets bad things happen and sometimes, it’s like she is asking for them. Michiko is willing to kick people just for the heck of it; kicking hurting and destroying, her rash personality and the cockiness in her just simply make her blind sometimes. But despite her nasty style of dealing with things, her Michiko actually never really killed anyone and even if she looks like she is very willing to, I don’t think she would.
But aside that, she is stubborn and childish. She doesn’t like to be wrong and throws tantrums when she is. She childishly fights with Hatchin several times and, using her adult status, she tries to win those fights. Even if she likes to say she is an adult, it’s obvious Michiko lacks maturity, which contrasts greatly with Hatchin, and therefore their personalities continuously clash against each other, getting them into several nasty fights.
Yet they both grown to love one another, and Michiko learns quietly how to deal with it, to say sorry and to show the care she so much has for Hatchin. Sometimes, she may even admit she is wrong, but of course she’ll continuously pout.

Her stubbornness is what makes her move during the whole series. She does not give up and she will not cry over spilled milk. Always on the run, always on the chase, and true, she did get depressed at sometime, almost giving up after chasing Hiroshi for so long and so far to S.Paraiso, but never until then she backed down to matter what Atsuko or Hana said. Even when she knows Hiroshi simply doesn’t want to see her, that won’t stop her from chasing after him, telling herself that he’s just a coward and she is supposed to find him and say she forgives him.

Truthfully, Michiko is not that intelligent, yet she isn’t completely dumb either. We can call her average, mixing with naïve and superstitious. Actually, she doesn’t call herself neither of that, she simply says she trusts people, specially her friends. When someone tells her something nice, she will immediately show kindness as well. You get what you give.
But yes, overall she can be quiet dumb sometimes, like not realizing how bad her drawing are, or even the fact that she cannot write well - yes, Michiko makes a lot of mistakes writing and that is canon.

Michiko is a human, and also a woman. She is a hopeless romantic and admits having fallen in love the first time she saw Hiroshi. Not only that, but she can be swept away easier than it looks. And unfortunately for Hatchin, she doesn’t get really any better when love-struck. Actually, she will become so selfish to the point of trying to get rid of Hatchin just to be with her crush for a while.
As bad as it sounds, it makes her more real. She won’t listen to anyone, she’ll easily get into fights for no special reason, she will be nastier and she will day dream all along.
But wait. It doesn’t matter if you become her lover; she’ll most likely STILL kick you, and even better, she will be very obsessive to the point of saying you are hers. Thank God she can make life pretty interesting so you won’t get bored of her that soon.

Unlike what she may look like or talk about, Michiko Malandro is no hero. Through the reality of her world, sometimes she has to struggle with several demons she regrets having to meet. Selfishness sometimes is also a reality. She is someone who is willing to help out others out, but she knows that there’s only so much she can do. Sometimes Michiko can’t go making risks for others, even if she regrets that so much, as it happened during Pepe Lima’s episode.
Not only that, but if saving or protecting the person she wants means to be mean to them (like slapping them) or to leave them behind, she will do it right away, even if it hurts.

Overall, she doesn’t blame others for her own mistakes, even if she refuses to accept them. She set her own rules and tries to live by them, even if in her crazy mind she is as unpredictable as her and probably has thought of a lot of rules to follow, or maybe almost none.
