I've hurt my hands and can't type , so I'm dictating this with voice recognition software ,. As you can see , it works surprisingly well . you can try it out for yourself online here

In fact it's a repetitive strain injury from too much typing . . . I heard of such a thing before , but never thought I~d get it myself. Though other people have it much worse , from what I read online . if I lived alone I would be screwed , but my husband is opening bottles , carrying heavy things and so on . he can't do my work though , of course , which is a problem ! next week I'm finally getting to see the workplace doctor. . .
Hope your injury wasn't severe. Get will soon. Thanks for the info on the dictation. Hands free would come in handy sometimes. Will have to give it a go.
Yeah, same here. Though at least the older style of phones have the advantage that you don't have to charge them very often ! I wouldn't like to have a smartphone and have to charge it every day ...
Actually I didn't have so much luck with my computer's voice recognition either . no matter how often I say open Firefox , nothing happens . . . it's only with this online voice powered by Google Chrome that I get good results . but yes, microphone definitely makes a difference .
By the way, I haven't forgotten that idea to compile links to all the Holmes fic . I think I have your email address . will send you an email about it !
It kills me that so much of Geocities is gone or unreachable unless you know the address. I think that's where the majority of the older dead links go, because it was such a popular early site. Even the Wayback machine only has a fraction of the content.
