I've never been a huge fan of Sudafed. It never seemed to work for that long on me, and other drugs always did a more complete job. I think the last time I took it was in Prague and it was ok but not great. Last night, however, I really needed something, so I decided to give it another try before the pack expired. Not only did it work but, holy hell, I felt like I was on speed. I went to bed at 2:30ish and woke up at 4:00/4:30 with my heart racing. Couldn't fall back asleep for probably an hour and then I woke up this morning to the people next door banging away at their mini-construction site (they are paving out back).
Needless to say, I feel exhausted and I'm still with a stuffy nose. I was excited because I was planning on skipping thesis class today and then I got an email saying that class has been canceled. Ruins the fun of skipping, but at least now my program director won't think I'm always trying to avoid him (which I was the last three weeks because I didn't want to turn in my thesis information sheet).
I'm still really nervous for the craziness that is next week...and the worst (best?) part is that I'm most concerned I won't be able to drink at the events this weekend/next week because I'll still be sick (and drinking when I'm sick always seems to make me sicker - trust me, I've tried it). As you can tell, I totally have my priorities in order. I'm determined to at least get one game of beer pong in because dammit, it has been too long since I've used my awesome beer pong skills (and by that, I mean I suck). ;)
Not yet an alcoholic,
