The ban on gay marriage just passed in Kentucky. 75% of voters opted to violate the civil and human rights of people they they don't even know, people who have never done anything wrong. I wish I had something to say. I feel physically ill ( Read more... )

I'm ready to spit nails. I wake up this morning and that's the first thing that I see. Holy freaking...*rubs head and tries to calm down*
I saw it last night, so I went to bed angry and woke up feeling fatalistic about it. I just.. feel so powerless. I've had flashes of anger during the day, but I'm really just overwhelmingly hopeless and sad. You could fit my faith in humanity inside a thimble and still have plenty of room left over, right now.

We were discussing this and hoping aganist all hope that some people would have the decency to do the right thing and think outside of their tiny little box.
Oh, but Laz, there are big, bad lesbians outside that box! ^_~

Can't it get overturned, if enough people protest and do something about it?
They can take it to the courts, but a lot of groups are sayingt they won't, because the state supreme courts will probably hand down the same decisions. I know people in Oregon are going to protest-- they're hopeful it can be overturned, since it won by such a thin margin there.

They aren't harming anything.
They just can't see that, can they?

There are enough people left in the world to overpopulate it.
This made me smile. The human race is, indeed, in no danger of dying out just because some people don't want to breed. ^_~
