I think I need to remind myself that I didn't apply to grad school to meet a guy.
And that every time I want to send him a cute gif to cheer him up, I need to realize that he's not sending me the same things. All he's doing is maligning my intentions and talking himself further into not wanting me.
The only person who has been trying to keep this from falling apart is me. Maybe I need to give that up. Because this is all already in shambles.
