Arthur/Merlin Fic
I have three thousand words of a oneshot Arthur/Merlin fic that I vowed back in September I would never write, but have been coerced into creating due to the combination of season two, fanmixes, and fic.
Not to mention the fact that I'm now rewatching season one.
And I don't know, it's an AU fic but not really, and all the AU parts are written in the 'you do this, you do that, you go to class etc' and I like the way it sounds and if it was just going to be some five thousand word fic that never alternated with the past I think I'd leave it that way, but it's not, it's probably going to be closer to twenty thousand words, if not more, and it will alternate with the past frequently, and I can't decide.
I think originally I started out with this particular POV because I didn't want to have to name the future characters. Out of necessity, I had to, so now the only reason to keep it around is that...well, it sounds pretty. But I know a lot of people dont' like reading that style, and I'm not big into the alternating and...well...
So, "You sit in class reading Le Morte d’Arthur and wondering why the stories make you ache." versus "He sits in class reading blah blah blah". Which will prevail?
I certainly don't fucking know. That's why I'm asking your opinion.
