Excerpt-ational Part Two

Hollow:
I twisted the saint’s scapula beneath my shirt feeling the cloth and plastic picture scrape the sparse brush of hair on my chest, feeling my heart pound beneath it. Pray for us, I thought, because we’re so broken and fucked up that we obviously need it.

Swagger Like Us (12):
“Stan’s such a whore, dude,” Kenny glares at him through his beer glass, “I will never understand how he gets more pussy than the rest of us put together.”
“Two words. Natural charisma.”

Brace Yourself (26):
“But-“ he looks Derek up and down, every bit of his jock demeanor railing against the man-boy in grunged out black, “-why would that even be something you’d want to do?”

Every Small Town Has Secrets (9):
“Okay, fine, have it your way,” he pouted a little, the way girls used to do when we stole their cookies in third grade, “We can have sex, right fuckin’ now.”
His hand crept up my thigh, fingers jutting into my skin in a way that wasn’t funny.
“Dude,” I swatted his hand away, “No.”
“Brof, you’re givin’ me mixed signals here,” he chewed his lip and stared at the cards and his stack of pepperoni, obviously more entranced by the game than by our conversation. It was all a huge joke to him.

These Days Just Slip Away (4):
It was ridiculous. You were supposed to say the whole hare hare thing like fifty thousand times. Half way through Kyle and I were making up our own rhymes; well, until Sheila Broflovski slapped us both upside the head.

When The Hurricanes Came (1):
Stan’s one of those ridiculously awesome people; you know, one of the rarest breed. A generally good guy, nice to everybody, but only actually hands out his attention to one or two chosen few. Kyle used to be chosen. Man, he was like the one dude in all the world that could pull Stan out of his head long enough to actually have some fuckin’ fun. The operative word here? Was.

Suicide Doors (11):
Nick’s name is branded on his heart, and its horrifying, because Nick lived inside him before all this anyway, in the threading of his pulse, the thumpthumpthump of his blood in his veins. He’s doubly marked; brother, lover. Triply if he considered the complementary title that went along with ‘lover’. Sinner.

Never Die (6):
“Change is good,” Kenny smiled his lips brushing Kyle’s jean clad thigh. His heart stopped.

Pirates of the New Age (3):
She remembered hiding behind the shrubbery, the only live thing in the garden, watching as fire lanced up the boy’s arms like racing stripes. It never seemed to singe the white blond hairs on his arms, or burn into his flesh. It was like magic.

In The Dead Of Night (7(8?)):
“You get off on being bossy,” Aether pursed his lips, then grinned, “That’s kind of hot.”
“I don’t even know what that means,” Dellacourt rolled her eyes and made shooing motions, “Go. Do your job. Intimidate the bad guys.”
“Like that’s even possible,” Marduk muttered.
“Your negatory attitude is not appreciated,” Dellacourt called after him, “Come on, guys. Optimism!”

And to finish off, a quote from the final Witching Hour book, just because it won't see the light of day for another three frickin' years at the rate I'm going...

“Cats are tasty,” Marduk said, “But it’s like comparing chicken to filet mingon.”
“Right,” Dellacourt confirmed, “Because as a vegetarian, you’d know.”

Ahem, for those not up to date on my writing...Every Small Town Has Secrets, Brace Yourself, Never Die, Swagger Like Us, and These Days Just Slip Away are all South Park fanifcs I've had since...eh, at least the summer. Suicide Doors is a JONASverse lucascest fic. When The Hurricanes Came is a South Park fic that's been in production for about two weeks that's going to be kind of a challenge for me.

In the Dead of Night is the sequel/second book in The Witching Hour series, Pirates of the New Age is an original story about psychics, and Hollow is a oneshot I forogt to mention in my last excerpt fest but ties into both Serenade (also a oneshot, and still a working title) and The Ballad Of (multi-chapter).

excerpts from future fic, fic: all talk no action, original stories
