Ariel...
Ok People. I need opinions.
I'm making an Ariel (as in Little Mermaid) costume. It shall be the pink dress that everyone hates or loves.
I have two fabric options. One is a gorgeous two tone silk. its not the exact color in any one place, but it gives the FEEL of the right color. It would flow and move and be oh so nice on my skin.
The second is casa collection (at JoAnn's) satin stuff. Not Real satin. not shiny like satin, more like bridal satin. its thicker, doesn't move all that well, but the color is pretty much dead-on.
I do not know which to choose. both have very compelling reasons to/not to choose them. the silk isn't 120% the right color, and the casa stuff is. but the casa stuff doesn't move nicely. I would like this to be as luxurious as possible, but also accurate! I mean, what ELSE would a prince dress someone in other than silk? would any other fabric even EXIST? lol.
