Ok, very nervous about my branding fic...
I need to let people know, that I read up on this topic before I even considered writing it.
Some people, (and this is all based on that site I linked with my fic) consider tattoos and body branding to be in the same catergory.
Seriously...what is the difference in being tattooed, 'mutilated', if you will and being branded in a similar fashion?
Both these techniques involve pain. For those of us who have had a tattoo, it doesn't tickle.
Why would a brand be any differnt? Why would a piercing, through sensitive genital flesh be different to body branding?
People do these things to their body, it's a personal choice.
So, what is the difference between a tattoo and a body brand, besides the way it is done?
Note to self: I am sure now that people are going to boycott my fics. And if they do, all the power to them.

Slashfic/fanfic is about exploring those areas that the shows just don't explore, that they can't explore.
And this is why we write, to experience these characters in situations we would like to see them overcome or experience.
Correct me if I'm wrong, please. I'd like an open, honest discussion.
