Three Bi#$%es Indeed...

Got a great weekend of training in. Yesterday was a 14 mile run. Today was a close-to 90 mile bike. A goodchunk of the route I took was along the 5430 course from last weekend (RR this evening, I swear). Difference was, I took a detour on the way home. Out by Niwot there is this climb affectionately known as "Three Bi#$%es". It's a series of three rather steep (but thankfully short) climbs, one right after the other. Only a small false-flat separates each climb. Normally, no big deal. 70+ miles into my ride, well, that's another story.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I hate false-flats. There's almost nothing worse than a ride or a run that looks nice, flat and easy only to have it kill you. Almost. I think I hate false-summits worse. At least, today I did. To reach the top of the climb, thinking you're done, only to see another stretch before you. Blech.

At least I got it done...
