(on this tour there was a lot of van trouble. it kept breaking down and we missed a lot of gigs and it drove poor pete crazy. and me, a little. my life has been one long rattling sauna, from new york to new orleans and back up to chicago and in between.)
spirit family reunion played a show at the democracy center in boston today. this is the last show of our tour before we return to new york. it's a full moon, too. all the bands played in the big room they have there with blond flooring. i was there a few years ago at the sds northeast convention; after everyone was done convening for the day we all went to that room in the democracy center, and people went around and played songs on guitars. i sat on the floor there and watched them and decided that i needed to learn how to play folk music. and here i am.
