sigh...
its sunday.. and tomorrow is my last day of vacation. it's going to be so hard going back to work. i wish i had played and won the lottery this week.
overall... this was an amazing vacation. we should spend more vacations at home. we spent one night in galveston, but spent the rest of the week being lazy and relaxed. we saw a couple of movies, hung out with friends, and did some spring cleaning around the apartment, and spent several evenings on the couch, with a glass of wine or bottle of beer... just being silly. we also used up several of our gift cards and went out to eat a lot, so we actually spent very little money.
last night, we went to see cirque du soleil's "corteo" at the sam houston race park. i can't say enough good things about it. it was amazing. of all the cirque shows we've seen (which include alegria and verakai), corteo is the best by far. it has more of a classic circus look, but is much more entertaining. they interact with the audience more in this show, and it gives you a full range of emotions... saddness, excitment, humor, surprise... it's all there.
alegria's strength was it's music, and verakai's strength was the visuals... but corteo has everything.
at work... i've been promoted. woo hoo! i'm now the saturday morning producer. i got to sign a 2-year contract, which is awesome, and during the week, i only have to write for the shows... no more cut-ins! also.. the hours are much better, because i get to spend more time with dani in the morning. before, i would get off work at 9am, get home by 9:25am, and he'd have to leave by 9:40am for work. but now, i get home by 8:25am, which means i wake him up a bit earlier than usual, but hey... he gets too much sleep anyway.
