A few wrong turns in Philly.

When going to Philly and South Street I expect to end up on South Street. Last night that did not happen. Somehow we, meaning Stefanie, Mallory and myself, ended up in the wrong direction after getting off the train. A) Don't take directions from a bum. B.) The city has signs pointing out all the different areas. Why not include South Street? Instead we ended up wondering around the city for two hours lost or somewhat lost with only some signs for help, not that I minded that much. I ended up enjoying myself with all the historical houses and buildings in the historic district. Had it been daylight I would have taken a load of pictures for their architectural details. All those colonial houses caught my attention. I also would have loved to go into some of the societies that were along the way.

Instead of eating at Johnny Rocket's, we ate at Burger King. I wondered around for two hours to eat in a BK when we have plenty of them here in Jersey. Plus, we got bothered by a bum while eating. She tried to sell us Dove soap. WTF? She left us alone after we gave her some of our change and leftovers. Just what I wanted to do, donate change and food scraps to the bums of Philadelphia.

Plus I learned first hand that the drivers in Philly are fucking crazy. Some didn't even have their headlights on and it was well after sunset. They don't care if you are trying to cross the street in designated areas either. Guard your lives carefully when attempting to cross the streets.

When we were done with Philly we went to Wal-Mart for some stuff. I got one book, a repeat of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Fantasy Lover but with a new, updated cover that got added to my SK collection. Also I bought the Flushed Away soundtrack. I'm now wearing out What's New Pussycat? by Tom Jones.

Then we went to the diner and drove to the two Applebee's closest to us because Stefanie wanted to know which was closest to us. Both are about 15 minutes from us.

88 miles later I had an empty gas tank and was home for the night.

Today was the first Sunday in god knows how long that I actually had off, not that I got to sleep in though. Someone else had work at 10:45. *grumbles*

Since Stefanie got done early we ended up at the Auction, mall and the movies. Five books came home with me- Horse Breeds and Horse Care, Montana Gold- Genell Dellin, Her one and Only- Alice Valdal, Daughter of Ireland- Sonja Massie, and Confessions of an Ex-Girlfriend- Lynda Curnyn. Then it was to pick up Mallory and head to Applebee's for dinner after a detour to Tunes to see what CDs they had. Nothing worth buying. Afterwards it was back to the movies to settle Stefanie's schedule and for a little chatting.
