Aunt Mary's birthday party last night was dull for the most part. The food was blah and the DJ crappy. Most of the family was there and Maria, her husband Steve and their son Teddy and Maria's brother Johnny came. They all came up from Vineland and they never come to any of the parties. The last time I saw them was in maybe 99 or so when Steve and Maria got married. And Maria looked like she was going to burst into tears the whole night. When she came over to our table to see everyone she looked like she was going to burst into tears.

The scrapbook was a big hit with everyone and as it was passed around I followed so I could hear what they were saying about it. Some of them- Dayna, Maria, etc., were in tears over it because of the pictures of some of the people. And the wedding picture of Grandma and Grandpop Randanella from 1913 or 1915 was an attention getter. Most never really saw it. Aunt Carmel Lit asked if we had the original and I lied and said no, that I only had a copy of it. I'm not about to say yes and then have someone demand the original. Grandmom had it and now all the old family photos that were in her possession are mine since I'm the self proclaimed family historian/genealogist. Hell, I'm not even saying I have some of the other old photos dating from the mid teens. You never know who will want them. That would only separate them and they might be lost for good. I'm not risking it. The same goes for some of the old family papers I happen to have.

It was me who did the majority of the work on the scrapbook early Saturday morning. Stefanie started to help but stormed off to bed because I wanted to do it a certain way. Sue me for being a control freak/perfectionist when it comes to things. I wanted it to look nice, not like a bunch of five year olds did it. Jenn did maybe four pages while I did about fifteen or twenty. Stefanie did maybe two. And most of the pages I did in about three and half or four hours.

I swear if I ever get caught up in any more of Stefanie and Jenn's ideas I'm going to shoot myself with the . 357 to keep me from being able to do anything.

Work today was all right. It was Tarah, Rebecca and myself. Luckily it wasn't too crowded, but usually Sundays aren't quite as bad as Saturdays. Next Sunday Sean, Brittany's friend, is training so I'm going to put myself in charge of him and keep him away from lazy ass Michelle. Lynne has him tomorrow night but she's not the best at training. We all know this. It's a miracle I turned out as I did. I had Lynne, Jenn and Kim- three people who aren't the best, the latter two worst then the first though. I barely learned anything.
