Rainforest Cafe and Work

I really think that only getting about two and half hours of sleep the past few nights is catching up to me. I'm ready to fall asleep on myself as it is.

Last night Jenn, Tony, Stefanie and I went down to Atlantic City for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. We were to meet Steve, Lucia, Kenny and Lucia's cousin Johnna down there. We got there first after having to drive around the parking building until we found a space on the roof. Trekking through one of Trump's many casinos we found the place. We waited a while then were shown to our table, minus four of our party. The rest never showed up until ten, forty-five minutes after we had reservations. The food was outrageously expensive and nothing worth writing home about. It ended up costing me nearly $30.

The whole theme of the place did not impress me either. The animatronic animals were more annoying then interesting. I didn't care to hear gorillas, elephants, birds and other animals making random noises at set intervals of time throughout the evening. The Santa hats the primates wore didn't help the situation either. And the flashing lights that was supposed to be a thunderstorm were annoying and played havoc on one's eyes. The ceiling was done in leaves and plants to resemble the treetops. And the table tops reminded me of cheap table cloths with parrots on them that were laminated to the table tops. Save me from the tacky decor.

Outside we all gathered around and took a few pictures, one of the girls and one of the guys. Jenn, who was bugging Tony about her Christmas present was given it. Tony bought her a pink sapphire ring with diamonds on both sides of it set in gold. I find it ugly. Heading back to the car Stef and Jenn complained about their feet hurting. Some people need think about what they're wearing on their feet, especially when they know they have some walking to do. I was smart, I wore sneakers. The ride home was quiet and I think I dozed off for a few minutes along the way.

Stefanie and I took a bunch of pictures last night when we got home. They were a mixture of what we wore to AC and some of me in my Halloween costume since I never did have the chance to take pictures then. Stef is going to give the cameras to Anita and see if she can drop them off at the photo department in Wal-Mart when she goes to work tomorrow morning. And if we're lucky we can get them from her tomorrow night. If so then I'll probably upload some photos within the next few days since we're getting them put onto a CD.

Today work was dull for the most part. It was Joe, Michelle and I working. For a few hours I was running for the two of them until Michelle volunteered to leave when we were told that someone could go. The rest of the day was still slow after that. And the managers never came to collect my money until late. And because of that I was late getting out by half an hour and also contributing to that was the fact that Pearson had us get water from upstairs and the managers took their damn time counting our money in order to know if we came out evenly or not and if we could combine or not. Once more Joe came up short but this time it was because Jess took some of his stuff without asking if she could and it threw everything off.

Now I'm off until Thursday much to my pleasure. Tomorrow might go with Jenn to her great grandmother's to decorate her tree. And we have to see about getting our pictures which I really want back. And for the life of me I cannot think of what is on the camera Stefanie had aside from a few pics from our Ocean City run last week.

I think I'm heading to bed after this. It's not even 11 but I want to go to bed. I just need to get my butt up early enough so I can take a shower and wash my hair before going with Jenn around 2-3.

Ciao.

I scored a 42% on the "How fucking JERSEY are you?" Quizie! What about you?

This was one weak quiz. I think it must have been made by a north Jerseyan since so many questions pertained to NY/NYC. South Jersey deals more wilth Philadelphia.
