Short photo post leading into a mega-post or two on Siem Reap. Travel for the New Year trip went like so...
Guangzhou -plane- Bangkok -bus/taxi- Rayong -speedboat- Ko Samet -ferry- Rayong -taxi/bus- Bangkok -plane- Phnom Penh -boat- Siem Reap -bus- Phnom Penh -plane- Bangkok -plane- Guangzhou
Think that was about it...
Any who, this would be the 'Phnom Penh -boat- Siem Reap' part. ;p
Having done our day in
Phnom Penh we were all set to see the beautiful Siem Reap. While I thought the tickets way overpriced, lol, tourists, my cousin really wanted to take the boat so we settled and got boat there, bus back. Tbh though, it wasn't that bad. Though, technically, the boat is from Phnom Penh to Chong Khneas then with a tuk-tuk ride to Siem Reap.
First though, we had to wake up at 6am or so and get to the pier.
And off we went!
The boat was shaped kinda tube/subway-like and had an inside part below as well as, assuming you can make it up there without falling, top part that was rather nice to sit on.
Lol, sunbathers.
Then, the tuk-tuk ride.
And that's how you get to Siem Reap from Phnom Pehn via boat.
