chairs, taps and something actually useful
I am currently 1/9th of my way through the short-list for the Australian Design Awards. With enough products to keep me up all night (a little under 100 of which are consumer goods) I am getting sick of orange and lime, though I am sure this will wear off with some sleep. Allot of it is people wanking on how they overcame difficulties by flavour-texting simple solutions in some vain attempt to beat the actual judges who with their years of experience can tell the difference between plastics that are in another room.
I guess it is weird thinking that my disapproval could end the Design Awards dreams of inventors, designers and investors who have worked tirelessly over the past year(s) on their product. Though I would love to be in their position, oh well, I guess there is always next year.
