The week past

Dec 02, 2006 12:30

It was good to catch up with ebon_phoenix and the various people at his birthday party.

My first driving lesson with a proper instructor proved that I have developed several bad habits, but my "observations and indication" is pretty good and I am a natural for reverse parking. But im sure he says that to all of the students.

Sadly my "day out" was ruined slightly with a dead camera battery. So I will need to check the night before from now on.

Sutekh is proving to be more fun these days, with more people that are fun and less of the people that suck. The play test of the free-form was pretty good. It was refreshing to play a political game with a dose of fun. The stop at the pub after was enjoyable and makes me think that the next one is a must.

Vampire was reasonably lame, but I was a little rp'd out by that stage. It was fun to play the character with boosted intelligence, allowed for less shallow and stupid conversations that plague most of us in the normal games. This was saved by the (though brief) visit to the pub after. I really want to get out more. One of the highlights of the night was the instant nearly empty night-ride that took me home in record time.

Learnt how to model like I never have before, having more time to dedicate to clients has allowed me to really give my all in large blocks of time. Which not only gets better and faster results, I am also prouder of my work. I still need to work on my rendering and advanced surface modelling, but after that I should be pretty sweet for anything that comes onto my plate.

Made characters for a Fireborn game. Im going with the "Chris from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" type of character, with a hint of "Bill Sykes from Oliver". Though to be more PC friendly he will have a splash of loyalty and pleasantries. Its a concept that I have vaguely used in the past (for two sessions of Living Death) and intend to use in the future (with more "Sykes" and less loyalty and pleasantries). Its hopefuly removed from the rogue character that I always love.

Put up the tree last night, it will need more work and we can really work on the atmosphere of the lounge room. Its going to look awesome (pictures to come).

Well that's it. With my health back on track this week (after a month with varying levels of a cough) it looks like I can get back into training. Fairly shortly will mark my first trip to the gym in a month and after a week of planning and psyching up the weeks ahead look good.

Now for something random:
