I'm actually useful now, I suppose, whereas before I hardly had any working skills, among a variety of other skills I didn't have before.

I now know how to do some basic cooking, cleaning and baking, as well as shop for groceries for the most affordable products.

We had a number of servants, personal chefs, nannies, and other jobs where people got paid to do everything for us.
