So. Has anyone actually received evidence of their home's destruction in the form of video footage? I'm not referring to those unfortunate ones who actually witnessed such events in person, of course; only those who had previously had nothing but the word of the Vogons to go on. I'm curious as to whether or not I should be expecting something in ( Read more... )

Those morons may have given us more information, but the panic they caused wasn't worth it. They scared kids, innocent people and even other refugees! I'm not working with them.

[And here his voice takes on a far more gentler tone.]

I haven't seen the footage, but I'm not entirely convinced we should believe it. On my world, there's someone who can make illusions. He makes you see things that aren't really there. I'm not sure how much we should trust the captains. I'm still trying to think about what we should do next.

In the mean time, maybe we should just sit tight for a while longer. Atleast until we can find a way to prove that we won't die if we leave the ship.

I must disagree. A small scare for a scant two days is incomparable to the loss and confusion many have felt for months and months on end.

Two wrongs don't make a right. You involved innocent people in your plan, and now you're in jail because you couldn't think of a better way.

I went to great pains to avoid directly implicating anyone outside my plan, actually. Those that attempted were dissuaded so they would not hurt themselves or others.

I am in jail because I did what I thought I must. It yielded positive results, and no one was injured. I have no regrets.

Implying there is a better way yet taking no action is not helpful in any way.

Is that what you told the Vogons in the embassy?

You didn't yield positive results, you yielded a bunch of explanations that we still don't know if we can trust! We're no better off now then we were before. Unless you count knowing that we can kill the captains with mousetraps as better.

Azula and I were trying to find a way off this ship without hurting or scaring anyone! But thanks to you, security's gonna be tighter, no one's gonna want to trust any of the terrorist refugees, and getting off this ship is gonna be even tougher! I've seen what a paranoid government can do, and it's not pretty. You haven't helped anyone.

There were none. Please check your facts before becoming so distressed.

That I yielded information at all is a boon. So what if it remains to be tested and puzzled over? At least we now have something with which to work.

There may be no place to "get off the ship" to. If such is the case, we need to know, before we commit foolish actions that do cause others to become hurt. The Captains may very well be compassionate beings dedicated to their mission. It remains to be seen.

I am only one man, who committed his own actions. There are obviously many who disagree with them. If the government of the Thor is not reasonable enough to see as such... they are not a government you or I should wish to be under.

Wait... what do you mean "there were none"?

I held only a building hostage. This was stated repeatedly.

I am a samurai. We do not harm innocents for any sort of gain.

But... there was a picture of a vogon with a bomb on it's head!

That was an attention-grabbing ploy. It worked.

Unfortunately, one must use such tricky techniques in the terrorism-for-justice game.

So you held an empty building hostage.

...

Why am I suprised? I kept telling everyone that you were as dangerous as a baby sheep.

Well... I still don't think that was the right way to do it but... [Ugh. this is gonna be physically painful to say.] I'm sorry I thought you were a bad guy.

It was a tactical advantage to strike at the centre of Thor's business, financing, and organization. The Vogons are the primary movers behind all bureaucracy. It is similar to holding an Emperor's adviser hostage.

Aa... you do not have to apologise. Sometimes one's passion gets in the way of examining the situation with a calm mind. My tactics were not very straight-forward or easy to understand at a glance.

I like baby sheep. Thank you.

Noted. We don't have such technology where I come from-- unless you want to get really creative-- but it's not very difficult to imagine the people here being able to do such things.

Do you really believe what you said outside of the filter?

.... I talked to Katsura, and I don't think he's as much of a bad guy now, but that stunt of his drew way too much attention. Security's gonna be tougher, and if the captains are smart, they're gonna be watching every refugee a lot closer. I mean, this month they took away jobs and locked us in our rooms for a week. Escaping's gonna be even harder now thanks to him. If we're gonna do this, we have to be smart about it and keep under the radar. Not threaten to blow up a building.

Wait... didn't you try and escape earlier?

Sometimes big stunts work fine; other times quieter tactics are more appropriate. I'm a fan of using both.

That was a ploy. I wanted to see if they would come after me, and they didn't. Either they can't read anything filtered from them in the Guides, or they just didn't care-- and I think the former is a lot more likely, especially considering their gross overreaction to last week's "terrorist" activities.
