[The Guide turns on into an unusual scene. The angle is steady, the device is obviously propped on a table, or something just placed to give a perfect, almost mechanical view of the scene. It's a room with padded walls, a solid gray. The table in the center of the room is a stark contrasting white.
There's movement on the side, and you finally see who turned it on: a man in a suit, sunglasses, the standard businessman.
There's only one door in the room, where another, strangely similar, is standing quietly. The first one turns to stand on the other side of the door, facing the center of the room, towards the table.
On one side of the table, there's Kon, sprawled on the chair, spine curled in the most lazy manner, hair and clothes in a disarray. He's looking midly unimpressed, but other than that his look is unreadable.]
"As you can see... we've had our eye on you for some time now, Mr. Shinonome..."
[On the other, yet another business man, who is calmly untying the knot of a folder, is speaking.]
"It seems that you've been living... two lives.
In one life, you're Kon Shinonome, respectable refugee working currently as an editorial writer for the newspaper....
You have a social security number, you pay your taxes..."
[He tilts his head a little]
"...and you help a small restaurant with their cooking... "
[His tone is a little more disdainful now, and hurried, and he slides a few photographs on the table, full of wires and disks and other technobabbles.]
"The other life is lived in computers, where you go by the hacker alias Shin and are guilty of virtually almost every computer crime we have a law for."
[That only gets a slight eyebrow arch from Kon.]
"One of these lives has a future... Mr. Shinonome... and one of them does not.
I'm going to be as forthcoming as I can be, Mr. Shinonome... You're here because we need your help. We know that you've been contacted by some individuals, a man who calls himself Uni, and another that's named ... [he frowns]... LoveMuffin.
Now whatever you think you know about these men is irrelevant. Both are considered by many authorities to be dangerous, Mister Shinonome. "
[Kon bows his head a little, quiet, hair falling over his eyes for a second, but then he sends a pointed glance towards the Guide. He then rolls his shoulders back, stands up and walks towards it.]
[Now the three men talk. One starts talking, the other two finish.]
"You do know..."
"...we are watching..."
"Mister Shinonome."
[He sends the Guide an unimpressed scoff. And there's only a smirk before he turns it off.]
